Splinterlands: Upgrading 2 more cards to level 3!🔥
The time required to advance your cards to the next level depends on their rarity; for instance, while common cards need five copies combined to go from Level 1 to Level 2, legendary cards require only three copies for the same upgrade. However, the journey from Level 1 to Level 2 is relatively short compared to the transition from Level 2 to Level 3, which takes more than twice as long because upgrading to Level 3 requires significantly more copies than upgrading to Level 2. As you aim for even higher levels, the number of copies needed increases further, making the progression process increasingly lengthy. Currently, the cards in my deck have mostly reached Level 3—though perhaps two to four have made it to Level 4—while the majority are still at Level 2, waiting to be upgraded to Level 3. In fact, I just upgraded two more cards to Level 3 today who have more copies than required for Level 3 but currently only upgrade to Level 3.
One of these is a melee attack card of the Life element, and the other is a ranged attack card of the Grey element; both are 'Common' rarity cards with moderate-to-low mana costs. They appear somewhat basic, as their stats aren't particularly extraordinary—though they become quite appealing in battles with low mana caps. Aside from that specific scenario, I doubt you would choose them for battles with medium-to-high mana caps. Nevertheless, their importance remains significant; the winds of change are constant in Splinterlands, so you never know what situations or card requirements might arise. That is why it is crucial to upgrade all your cards to their highest levels. As their power increases with each level, cards that seem ordinary at Level 1 could well become the heroes of your strategy at higher levels.
The first card here is the Life element's Phlegmor. If this card looks basic to you at Level 2, imagine how I felt when I first saw it at Level 1. Well, it’s not just because it’s a 'Common' rarity card; even some Legendary cards come with such basic stats that it feels like the creators were playing a prank. However, as I mentioned earlier, a card might not seem very attractive at the starting level, but the power boost it gains as it levels up can often surprise you. Besides, no one knows how the shifting winds of Splinterlands might suddenly increase the importance of certain card types; therefore, it is wise to keep all your cards leveled up so you are ready for any battlefield scenario. So, at Level 3, this card has gained +1 Health—making it slightly stronger than before, even if only marginally. It would have been better if the attack power had increased as well, but for now, this is what we have.
The second card upgraded to Level 3 today is the Grey Element ranged attack card, Oshannus Unmade. While it isn't exactly a basic or insignificant card, it does suffer from the issue of low health, making it a prime target for enemies with the 'Opportunity' ability; however, if positioned strategically within the lineup—perhaps tucked away safely—it can prove to be a strong asset. Its 'Dispel' ability protects it from magic buffs, and it boasts impressive speed and a ranged attack power of 2, setting it apart from run-of-the-mill cards. Out of curiosity, I checked its future stats: at Level 4, its health rises to 5, and at the maximum level, it reaches 7 health and 3 ranged attack power with a speed of 5. It also gains the 'Snare' and 'Lookout' abilities, which would firmly place it in the category of excellent cards—though, for now, we are dealing with its current stats.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
