Splinterlands: Upgraded 3 rare cards to level 4!šŸ”„

As you may have seen, just yesterday, I purchased 50 rare draws at once in my Splinterlands journey. Naturally, this meant that some cards in my deck became eligible for a level-up. I had already spotted these cards yesterday, but writing about them then would have made the post significantly longer. So, in today’s separate post, I’m sharing three rare cards from my deck that I’ve upgraded from Level 3 to Level 4. This required collecting 11 copies—a task that will only get tougher as I progress to higher levels; for instance, the next upgrade to Level 5 will require 15 copies of these same cards. This means that, moving forward, I’ll need to purchase even more draws, which in turn requires earning more Glints. In short, better in-game performance is essential!šŸ”„

Now, let’s talk about the cards. The Water element magic attack card, 'Torrent Sniper'—which gained +1 magic attack power at Level 2 and then became even more formidable at Level 3 by acquiring the 'Piercing' ability—has now received another stat boost at Level 4: an additional +1 Armor. This progression is, without a doubt, excellent; each level brings improvements to different stats, ensuring that no single attribute feels neglected or weak. First, it gained +1 attack power at Level 2, then an ability, and now, +1 Armor. Given this systematic upgrade pattern, I suspect that at the next stage—Level 5—we might see an increase in either its Health or Speed by +1.šŸ¤ž

Next up is 'Careless Badger' from the Death element. I should clarify that I rarely use this card, primarily due to its extremely low health. However, as we all know, the conditions in Splinterlands can be unpredictable, so every card has its own unique value. I do use it in certain low-mana battles—positioned somewhere in the middle of my lineup and provided with some extra protection. I had hoped that its health would improve at level 4, but it seems the card designers intended for it to remain weak in terms of health. While it already possessed 2 ranged attack power, at level 4, it gains a +1 boost, bringing its total to 3 ranged attack power. That said, it remains an easy target for opponents with the 'Opportunity' ability. Nevertheless, for as long as it manages to stay in the battle—for however many rounds—it will deal significant damage to the enemy, especially since it also possesses the 'Opportunity' ability itself.āœŒļø

Next up is the star card: the 'Gravebrand Warlock,' a magic-attack card belonging to the Death element. I use this card quite extensively; while its base speed is standard, it possesses the 'Swiftness' ability. This ability grants a +1 speed boost not only to the card itself but to every other card in the lineup, making it highly beneficial for the entire team. Furthermore, its 3 magic-attack power makes it a formidable force. At level 4, it gains the 'Execute' ability, which renders it even more dangerous—if an enemy is left with 2 or fewer health points following an attack by the Gravebrand Warlock, the card immediately launches an additional strike. For instance, if an enemy has 4 or 5 health points, a single attack from the Gravebrand Warlock will trigger the 'Execute' ability, allowing it to follow up with another strike to finish off the target. Although I use the 'Torrent Sniper' more frequently than the other two cards, the upgrade to the Gravebrand Warlock is, by far, the most heroic.šŸ˜Ž

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!šŸ”„
