Splinterlands: Upgraded 2 Frontier Archons and Bought 1 Legendary card!🔥

If you are a regular follower of mine, you likely know that I don't particularly enjoy playing in the Frontier format; however, I do play a few battles there during my free time each season—solely to collect cards from the Foundation set. This is because Foundation set cards can also be used in Modern battles. While these cards are generally quite basic, the set includes several "extras" that are truly compelling, and those are the ones I primarily focus on. Additionally, the Archons in the Foundation set are decent enough. Another important point is that almost all Foundation set cards are available at a much lower price compared to other sets; taking advantage of this, I recently purchased several Foundation cards, including two Archons.

Among them are Marlai Singariel (Water element) and Aurelia (Earth element). You might wonder why I chose these two specific Archons, or—as some players might think—why I purchased them at all when one can win multiple cards daily just by playing Frontier battles. Well, while it is true that you can earn cards daily in Frontier, you have no control over which cards you get. I wanted these two Archons because they belong to the elements containing my favorite cards—cards I am consistently upgrading to higher levels. I didn't want a situation where my cards became stronger and more powerful, yet I couldn't fully utilize their capabilities because I was stuck with lower-level Archons. As for why I bought them instead of waiting to win them through gameplay: I was acquiring these Archons for Modern battles—a format I actually enjoy playing—rather than for Frontier. Furthermore, the cost factor was significant; the amount of DEC I spent to purchase these Foundation Set Archons at Level 2 wouldn't have been enough to buy even a single copy of an Archon from the Arcana or Rebellion sets.

I also purchased an Earth-element ranged attack card—at its maximum level—for a total of just 0.17 USD; just imagine what a great deal that was. You can view the card's stats in the screenshot above. The best part is that, based on the strategy I had in mind when acquiring it, this card will also be useful to me in Modern battles. The "Treefolk Bloodline" card, Giam Root, comes with 3 ranged attack power, solid health (11 points), and 3 speed points. It also possesses the "Strengthen" ability, which boosts the entire team's health by +1 point. Compared to other similar cards, I got this one at a bargain price—its counterparts are generally more expensive—meaning I could potentially sell it for a profit later if I wanted to. However, to be honest, it is currently doing a great job of improving my in-game performance, so I might never sell it; in fact, I plan to add more cards like this to my deck.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
