Splinterlands: Unlocked the Gold League in Modern two days before the season ended!🔥

In total, it has been 13 days since I first started playing in Wild, and in two days, a full season will have passed. Although I have been sharing my experiences recently, I will provide a detailed account in my end-of-season report, as there are both positive aspects and some disappointments—it really depends on your perspective. After dedicating most of my time to Wild battles, I felt that I needed to spend some time playing Modern over the last two days; I had barely earned any Glint this season, and beyond the thrill of Wild, Glint earnings are crucial. I cannot ignore them, as spending Glint allows me to add better cards to my deck, making it essential for the long term. That is why I continued playing Modern and unlocked the Gold League there before returning to Wild; this earned me 7 Minor and 4 Major chests, for which I used both Alchemy and Legendary potions.

To be honest, I did receive some pretty good rewards. If by "pretty good" you mean Gold Foil or Legendary cards—well, I’ve stopped expecting those altogether. After using hundreds of Alchemy and Legendary potions and facing disappointment every single time, I’ve realized that obtaining Gold cards is likely reserved for pros, high-level players, and big investors. I’ve tried everything—buying Common, Rare, and even Legendary packs. I used to buy one or two at a time, but when someone suggested that buying in bulk would increase my odds, I tried that too. It’s not that I haven’t invested in the game; since joining Splinterlands, I’ve made external investments to purchase several cards directly. However, if you were to compare my investment to that of the pros, I’d barely register on the scale. That doesn't mean I haven't invested, but ever since the Arcana set was released, not a single Alchemy potion has worked for me, so I’ve given up hope on that front. I’m just treating the game as a game now, because making real gains from it seems to be the domain of a specific class of players. So, the rewards I’ve received are decent, simply because they do include some cards.

All these cards are of 'Common' rarity; among them are three copies of the 'Surgeblade' card. I use this card frequently in low-mana battles, and it performs quite well. Since it possesses the 'Charge' ability right from Level 1, it is easy to position anywhere in the lineup. I already have this card upgraded to Level 3, so these copies will help in progressing it toward Level 4. Additionally, I have the 'Oshannus Unmade' card upgraded to Level 3; it also performs well in low-mana battles, though its low health is a concern—hopefully, reaching Level 4 will bring some improvement to its health. I also have the Death element card 'Thornmaw Berserker' upgraded to Level 3; it features a +1 Armor boost and the 'Final Rest' ability, which blocks enemy abilities like 'Resurgence' and 'Resurrect.' This is incredibly helpful, as cards returning with full power after 'Resurgence' can be a major headache. Furthermore, I have the Fire element 'Cullborn Revenant' and the Earth element 'Stonebind Matron' upgraded to Level 3, both boasting better stats compared to their Level 1 versions. Apart from these cards, this 'Welcome Loot' also gave me a Legendary Potion, some Merits, and four Alchemy Potions—items I’ll likely end up using pointlessly when such chests and draws come around again. But now that’s fine; for me, this is just a game I play for enjoyment. just one thing will be changed, I simply won't be as deeply invested in it anymore. Thats it!

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
