Last night, just a day before the current season ended, I reached the Silver tier again. Initially, it was a surprise because it happened after several seasons, and it's not like I've been playing fewer battles or haven't invested in the game. If you had said this a few months ago, I would have believed it, but lately, I've increased my stake in Splinterlands (in terms of better cards). In the past, my deck often lacked a single Archon, let alone a choice of Archons, to play in certain situations, and I'd have to surrender and lose without even playing a battle. Now, I have almost every type of Archon, from basic default ones to Rare, Epic, and Legendary Archons. I've also added several cards that provide the best synergy with Archons, which have performed quite well so far. So overall, in the last few months, I have tried my best to do well in this game, but I don't know why my ranking was not increasing and by the end of every season, I would reach Bronze 2 or 1 and close it. But this time, finally, last night, I first unlocked Silver 3 and then, within a short time, I also successfully unlocked Silver 2.

I've used Alchemy and Legendary potions as rewards for unlocking other tiers. However, using these potions has never resulted in any Legendary or Gold Foil cards, especially not after the release of the Arcana set. Sometimes, it feels like a waste of money and hope, as potions are purchased through gallants and decks to boost the chances of getting higher rarity and/or Gold Foil cards. However, the chances of getting these better cards are so low under normal conditions that even using potions to double the chances is almost meaningless. But there is also a lucky factor in this that if by any chance you win a higher rarity or gold foil card, then either that card will add tremendous value to your deck, which will eventually enable you to improve your strategies, or you will immediately sell that card in the open market and earn a profit. In both situations, you win, provided you win that better card, the chances of which are very, very, very low.

And you can clearly see from my loot chest results that something similar happened. In Silver 3-tier rewards, I got 2 Alchemy Potions, some Merits, and 5 Legendary Potions, which is the same amount I spent on it. So, overall, I didn't get any cards in Silver 3 rewards that I appreciate most, because those are the ones that ultimately help you perform better in Splinterlands. Then, in Silver 2 rewards, I got some Merits, 3 Entrants, an Alchemy Potion, and a common Earth element card that is neither Gold nor Legendary, but I still like this card because it fits perfectly into some of my strategies, and I use it almost every day, which means it performs well in different battle conditions. So yes, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a Legendary or Gold Foil card this time again, but since I was already aware of the possibility, it was easy for me to accept it. I am happy that even if it was a common one, I got a card, and that too one that is part of my strategy. So, more copies of it will definitely help me upgrade this card to the highest level.
There's still one full day left in this season, and I'm going to do my best to unlock Silver 1 and, if possible, reach the Gold tier for the first time. While it won't be easy, it's important to try, and I will.
