So far this season, due to various personal commitments, I have been so occupied that—despite my desire to do so—I haven't been able to play as much Splinterlands as I would have liked; consequently, it is taking me some time to improve my in-game ranking. It has taken me nearly five days to finally unlock the Silver I tier. In the interim, I rented several different cards that complemented my strategy; while none of them are heavy attackers, they are cards that help enhance the team's overall power or strengthen the team in unique ways—such as the Fire Element's Grove Doomblade and the Water Element's Abyssal Elemental. Now that I have unlocked Silver I, I received 6 Minor and 3 Major chests as part of the welcome loot. I used both Alchemy and Legendary potions to open them, though I didn't have high expectations, as I have never previously pulled a Gold or Legendary card from these loot chests.

This loot chest exceeded my expectations so thoroughly that words fail me. You certainly cannot call this a bad haul by any means, because—technically speaking—I actually received more Alchemy Potions from it than I had originally invested. However, if you view it solely through the lens of whether I obtained an Alchemy or Legendary card, then this loot might appear unfruitful. Yet, I don't believe that is the right perspective to take; after all, the probability of obtaining a Gold Foil or Legendary card is inherently quite low—typically 1% or less—and even after doubling that chance through the use of potions, the percentage remains relatively slim. Therefore, there is absolutely no need to feel disappointed if those specific cards don't drop. Instead, one should be happy with what was received, as the invested Alchemy Potions were fully recouped, and I also gained an Epic card, three Common cards, and a Rare card—the latter being one of my favourites when playing with the Life Element. All in all, it was a great gift.

With that in mind, I decided I should pay a visit to my deck—who knows how many cards might be waiting there to be levelled up?
This is a crucial task because, as far as I know, the higher the level, foil status, or rarity of the cards you use in battles, the better the in-game rewards you stand to win—especially those rewards received after every battle victory, which include Glint and SPS. It turned out there were a total of three cards in my deck pending a level-up, so I proceeded to upgrade all three; you can see their transformed states in the screenshots below. Among these, I specifically plan to make much greater use of Surgehammer in my battles going forward, and perhaps Phlegmor as well. Oshannus Unmade doesn't strike me as particularly useful right now, but having been levelled up, it might just come in handy during a battle someday. With 10 days still remaining until the season ends, I intend to try to unlock the Gold League once again this time around, aiming to reach Tier 2 within it. While that will certainly be a challenging feat, I am determined to give it my best shot; if necessary, I will even add a few more cards to my deck to ensure there are no gaps in my strategy. Stay tuned for further updates!
