Splinterlands: This season's goal shifts from Legendary to Rare cards!🔥

Today—for the second time this season—I have once again decided to purchase Rare draws. There are several reasons for this decision; one of the primary ones is that my deck currently contains numerous copies of Common and Rare cards that remain at Level 1, whereas I now possess two to three Archons that have reached Level 2 or even higher. Higher-level Archons serve as the primary and most crucial key that enables you to summon higher-level cards; however, I now face a paradox: I simply do not possess the specific cards that I could utilize in the most optimal manner, leveraging the power of these Archons. Typically, players encounter the opposite situation: their cards continue to upgrade, but they lack a high-level Archon to utilize them effectively. Consequently, I have decided to slightly moderate the "Legendary-only" mindset I have maintained over the past four to five seasons and, for the time being, focus on acquiring draws of other rarities as well.

So, once again, I purchased a batch of 10 Rare Draws simultaneously. At a cost of 1,500 Glint per draw, I ended up paying a total of 15,000 Glint for them. As you can see in the screenshot above, the chances of obtaining a Gold Foil card are a mere 0.5%; while this probability can be doubled to 1% by utilizing Alchemy Potions, even at this doubled rate, 1% remains so incredibly low that the likelihood of actually obtaining a Gold card is practically negligible. Indeed, my personal experience confirms this: one never seems to pull a Gold card from these draws. I have been playing this game for nearly three years now, and during that time, I have purchased these Rarity Draws dozens of times—always using Alchemy Potions—yet not a single time have I ever received a Gold card. To be honest, having faced such consistent disappointment, I no longer held any real hope for a positive outcome; however, since I happened to have a few Alchemy Potions lying around, I decided to give it one last try just to put them to use—though, deep down, I likely already knew what the result would be.

So, since I had no expectations to begin with, the fact that it didn't happen made absolutely no difference to me. Among the 10 rare cards I extracted, the majority were cards of which I already possessed multiple copies in my deck—cards that I utilize in almost all of my battles. Examples include the Life Element's Anchor-Hex Adept, the Water Element's Torrent Sniper, and the Death Element's Mindless Thrall. These magic cards prove to be excellent for maintaining power balance; although I previously only held Level 1 versions of all these cards, with my new strategy, I will likely be able to level them up much faster than before. Additionally, I frequently use another Water Element card—the melee attacker Surgehammer—in my low-mana battles. The one card that stands out as completely new and unique from this haul is the Death Element's melee attacker, Grove Doomblade. As you can see, it is a massive melee attacker that boasts a melee attack power of 5 right from Level 1. Although its health is quite low and its speed is absolutely minimal, I believe that—with the right kind of support—this card could be turned into a nightmare for opponents. I will certainly share the battles in which I use this card with all of you; if you have any suggestions on how to utilize this card even more effectively, the comments section is open!

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
