This is a battle I fought just a short while ago, characterised by an abundance of Mana and the absence of any specific ruleset—meaning you had complete freedom to assemble any team you desired. Although the Water element was unavailable for this particular battle, all other elements were accessible; thus, by simply excluding Water cards, you could construct a team exactly to your liking. On this battleground, ultimately, it is your strategy that prevails. Drawing upon my experience at my current ranking tier, I anticipated that—given the high Mana cap—my opponent would likely utilise either the Dragon Archon Nidhoggr or Eternal Tofu. The latter would grant their cards +2 Health along with the Thorns ability. Consequently, I decided I should minimise my reliance on Melee attackers. Since I do not possess Eternal Tofu, I opted to deploy the Dragon Archon Nidhoggr. This choice not only inflicts -1 Health and -1 Armor damage upon all of the enemy's cards, but also allows me to grant +2 Speed and the Execute ability to three specific cards of my choice. I find this particular power of the Dragon Archon to be incredibly appealing; to utilise it to its fullest potential, you require heavy Magic attackers—units that not only strike first but also deal direct damage to the opponent's Health, thereby significantly increasing the likelihood of successfully triggering the Execute ability.

Therefore, in addition to deploying two of my healthiest melee attacker tanks on the frontline, I filled more than half of my team slots with Magic cards and also positioned a Ranged attacker possessing formidable offensive capabilities. There was also a strategic rationale behind placing the Magic attacker—specifically the one endowed with the Divine Shield ability—at the very end of the lineup: I required protection against the initial strikes of any enemy units possessing the 'Sneak' ability. To leverage the +2 Speed boost and the 'Execute' ability provided by my Dragon Archon, I selected two Magic attackers and one heavy Ranged attacker; my aim was to maximise the probability of triggering the 'Execute' power. As you can observe in the screenshot above, this strategy paid off handsomely right from the very first round.

And then, in Round 2, the "Execute" ability—triggered once again by the Archon—imbued these cards' attacks with devastating power. When you watch this battle—which I highly encourage you to do—you will see how the majority of the opponent's cards were knocked out solely due to the additional attacks granted by the Execute ability, allowing me to win the match with ease without losing a single one of my own cards.
Fortunately, the opponent selected the very same Archon I had anticipated; hence, the outcome proved to be truly iconic. Of course, with a different Archon or a different set of cards, the result could certainly have turned out differently. However, as new players, your focus should extend beyond merely enjoying the game to also anticipating what strategies your opponent might be planning. This gives you a significant edge in the game, as it allows you to assemble your team based on those specific possibilities. If the opponent reacts exactly as you predicted, your chances of victory skyrocket; and even if they execute a different manoeuvre, you will have at least fielded your best possible team—backed by a solid fundamental understanding of the game—which will undoubtedly be capable of putting up a fierce fight against any opponent of equal skill level.😎
