Initially, I remember not paying attention to the fact that potions even existed and what their benefits were for a long time. Although I was actively purchasing rarity draws and loot chests, which involved the use of alchemy potions, I never noticed that part of the process in the flow of my shopping. But then, when I learned about them, I became quite excited, and since then, I've been using potions in every purchase I make.
First, let me give you a brief introduction to potions, although if you're willing to learn, Splinterlands provides detailed information about everything in the simplest way at every step. Potions basically double your chances of winning rarer foil cards in card packs and reward draws. For example, if you're purchasing a rare draw from the reward shop, consuming an Alchemy Potion will double your chances of winning a gold foil card in that draw.

These potions are priced very affordably, making them easy to purchase. Legendary and Alchemy potions can even be bought with Glint rewards earned in the game, but to purchase the Midnight potion specifically, you need to switch the payment method from Glint to DEC. Only then will the option to buy the Midnight potion become available. I think, based on their foil values, the Legendary potion should be the cheapest, followed by Alchemy, and finally the Midnight potion being the most expensive. However, there's a slight discrepancy in their pricing, the reason for which I'm unsure. In DEC terms, a Midnight potion costs 29.73 DEC, a Legendary potion costs 39.6 DEC, and an Alchemy potion costs 49.5 DEC.

I purchased 10 each of the Legendary and Alchemy potions, and 5 of the Midnight Black Foil potions. I recently learned from a friend @nozem01 that Legendary and Midnight potions are only used in card packs, and I don't like buying card packs because, according to one of my rules, I want to test any card before purchasing it. And honestly, these card packs seem a bit too expensive. Although they guarantee higher rarity cards, spending 10-20,000 DEC at once still feels like a lot, especially for random cards. So, most of the time, the potion I use is the Alchemy potion, but believe me, these potions significantly increase your chances of winning gold cards. And you can immediately sell the gold and legendary cards you win from the Arcana set, which, if you're lucky, could earn you much more than the DEC you spent.😎
