Splinterlands: Quora Towershead alone against 4 monsters!🔥

This is a Brawl battle from today, featuring two rulesets, Even Stevens and Blood and Sunder, with a 15-mana cap limit, which obviously includes the cost of Archon. Initially, I thought of teaming up with my new Legendary Archon, but he himself came in at 7 mana, leaving me with no good cards to add or the best possible use of my Archon's powers with the remaining 8 mana. Although there was bound to be a shortage with such low mana, I wanted an Archon with some power instead of the basic, no-power Archon. Even if I had chosen a no-power Archon for 3 mana, that would have left only 12 mana left for cards, which wouldn't have made a good team for my deck. So I chose Underboss Fabino as the Archon. Its cost is 5 mana, leaving me with 10 mana left. I couldn't think of a better card than Quora Towershead for that amount. Firstly, this card's attack power includes 2 magic and 2 melee attack powers, which gives it variety in attacks. It also has good health and speed, which are crucial for being a solo card or a tank. The bonus is its bloodlust and heal abilities, which help it strengthen with every killing blow and every round. Meaning, one card, many benefits.

In contrast, my opponent formed a team with the Fire element, consisting of two ranged attackers at the end of the lineup and two melee attackers. These melee cards received a +1 melee increase to their attack power because one of the opponent's four cards possessed the Inspire ability, which was a good decision. Even after receiving powers from the Archons, my opponent's attack power was nearly double that of my single card. However, the biggest mistake I found in his team was that he chose two ranged attackers, knowing that ranged attackers can't perform attacks from the first position. It seems logical to include the one with the Inspire ability in the team, but why the other one? Could overconfidence be the reason?

By the end of the first round, after knocking out only one card of the opponent, looking at the condition of my cards, it seemed that this was not overconfidence but a well-planned move, and the enemy was probably winning in this.

But then, just in time, Quora Towershead's healing ability worked, fixing it. It knocked out the enemy's second melee card in a single attack. With the help of the Bloodlust ability, it gave +1 to all stats, boosting its attack power to 4 magic and 6 melee, and speed to 5. Here, you'll understand the major drawback of choosing two ranged attackers in such a low-mana battle. The enemy still has two attackers on the battlefield, but one of them, now in first place, can't attack because it lacks a close-range ability. As I mentioned earlier, without that ability, a ranged attacker can't perform attacks from first place. The second card is its own enemy, as this deadly 4-range attack card, costing 2 mana, has a burning ability that damages the card by 2 health at the start of each round, which will burn it to death from within in one stroke at the start of the next round. So the card that is in position to attack will die itself, and the other one is no longer in a position to withstand even half of the current attack power of my epic Quora Towershead.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
