Splinterlands: Levelling Up my first card to MAX Level! šŸ”„

Over the past few seasons, the enjoyment derived from Splinterlands seems to have multiplied manifold—as have my in-game ranking and the overall difficulty level of the game. Consequently, to compete effectively in the Gold League and maintain my standing within it, it has become imperative that I, much like my opponents, upgrade my strategies by incorporating newer, superior, and higher-level cards. Since reaching the Gold League, I have observed that whenever an opponent selects the Water Element—in more than eight out of every ten battles—they invariably choose Marlai Singariel as their Summoner. This Summoner grants a +1 Magic power boost to all Magic cards within the team. I already owned this Summoner, but it was at the basic Level 1; as a result, I was unable to construct a truly competitive team around it, since a Level 1 Summoner restricts the entire team to using only Level 1 cards. This was a significant limitation, as I actually possessed several Water Element cards that had already been upgraded to Levels 2 and 3; however, due to the restrictions imposed by my low-level Summoner, I was unable to utilize those cards at their higher tiers. Then, last week, I purchased 15 copies of this Summoner and upgraded it to Level 3. However, to truly perfect my strategy, I subsequently rented several additional cards—upgraded to Levels 4 and 5—which I had previously been unable to utilize alongside my Level 3 Summoner. This led me, just the day before yesterday, to purchase another 10 copies of Marlai Singariel; for this transaction, I paid a total of approximately $0.62, which translated to a purchase cost of 1096 DEC.

In the screenshots, you are viewing a transaction involving 9 copies. Actually, I was initially confused; I thought Level 3 required 16 copies, but I only possessed 15—not 16. Consequently, I needed 10 additional copies to reach Level 4. I proceeded to purchase 9 + 1 copies, and then, within the 'Owned Card Copies' section under 'Items,' I selected all the copies simultaneously and clicked 'Combine.' As a result, all 25 copies merged together to form a single, fully upgraded Level 4 copy.

Now, with this Max Level Archon, I can expect peak performance even from my higher-level cards. This marks the first card in my Splinterlands deck that I have managed to upgrade to the maximum level; thus, without a doubt, this is a significant milestone for me, though thanks to my smart shopping idea, I was able to upgrade this card to Max Level at a remarkably low cost. In fact, a Level 2 version of this card was listed at $0.97, while a Level 4 version was listed at $3.90; consequently, had I purchased the Level 4 card directly, I would have had to pay $3.90. However, individual copies of this card were available at very low prices; by purchasing these copies separately, the total cost to reach the Max Level came to only around $1.45, which is less than half the listed price for a Max Level version of this Archon. šŸ˜Ž

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!šŸ”„
