The name Captain always brings to mind Captain Frankie. If his supportive bloodlines included cards with better health, I'd purchase that Legendary Archon. But you can't find everything perfect in one place. Here's Captain Catie, a rare Magic card from the Gladiator Cards set. In the Gladiator Cards set, I primarily have melee cards that are the most powerful and have a good variety to choose from, depending on different battle conditions. However, if a battle restricts melee cards, then I don't have many options in this set. Among those few options, Captain Catie is my first choice after Quora Towershead. I also have some powerful ranged attackers. Captain Catie is a Magic attacker, which is the best option for attack-type cards, directly damaging enemy health. Besides its mind-blowing Bloodlust ability, this card also has the Snipe ability, which helps attack the first non-melee enemy card behind the first position.

Also, its health is moderately good compared to its attack power because generally, in lower rarity cards, especially in stats, if something is very good, then you have to compromise on something else. Still, thankfully, this card is different and better in that respect as well. Although there is no doubt that if the health were a little better, it would have been great. But those improvements are available through levelling up the cards, where each level-up keeps improving your card's stats and adds new abilities. So today I saw this Captain Katie magic card in my deck, which was ready to go to level 2. To access your deck, you can click on your cards from the items menu. On the deck homepage, the number written in white and yellow below each card tells you if a card is ready to level up or not. If the number is written in white, then the card does not have enough copies to level up. If the number is written in yellow, then the card is ready to be levelled up.

I saw that number in yellow, and I knew the card was ready. I usually analyze my card copies this way, so as soon as I realized I had enough copies of this card to upgrade it, I opened it. My first excitement was to see what stats it would increase upon reaching Level 2. So I checked, and as you can see, its health, which was a major point, has improved; now its health has increased from 6 to 7. Next, at Level 3, I expect its speed to increase as well, because if its magic attack can directly impact the enemy's health, then nothing would be better than that. Anyway, it's already high, 3 magic attack power won't be increased further, so I expect its speed to increase. With this upgrade, the chances of Captain Katie being a part of my battles have increased further, as I used to dislike it a little bit just because of its low health, which has now improved a bit.
Strategically, I already have some good cards to place as tanks and behind them, and positioning this card last in the lineup would be a mistake, as that would put it directly in the crosshairs of enemies with the Sneak ability. Since it's a good attacker due to its attack type and power, I'd like this card to last as many rounds as possible on the battlefield. So, I'd strategically place Captain Katie in the 4th or 5th spot in the lineup. If possible, I'd definitely add a healer, a card that improves cards' speed, a card that improves cards' health, or a card that provides armour to all other cards. In my opinion, this would be the best way to safely use this card and inflict significant damage on the enemy with its super magic attacks. The real picture will be revealed on the battlefield, as everything in your planning may go according to plan, but what will happen on the battlefield will only be known when the time comes.
