I haven't received a single Gold card where I actually wanted one, yet I keep getting them from places where I least expect it. Well, I’m talking about getting Gold cards from the Conclave Arcana set; I use Alchemy Potions every single time hoping to pull Gold cards from this set, but so far, I haven't found a single one. On the other hand, by purchasing Gladius cases from the Guild Store, I’ve collected a total of 33 cards—14 of which are Level 3 or higher, another 14 are Level 2, and the rest are copies better than Level 1 (meaning over 100 copies in total); I’ve even managed to pull 7 Gold cards so far. Anyway, there’s nothing I can do about it. While the results aren't amazing, they aren't bad either, because when playing in Modern and Guild formats, you have the freedom to use at least one Gladiator card in every battle—and these cards undoubtedly shine in those situations.

Today, I broke my own record by purchasing the maximum number of Gladiator cases in a single transaction—buying four at once for a total of 8,000 Merits. Each case yields five Gladiator cards, which can then be used in Guild Battles at a rate of one card per match. I already own several cards from this set, many of which have advanced beyond Level 2 or even Level 3. My goal is to upgrade all these cards to the maximum level possible, ensuring that whenever I play in Wild Mode in the future, my deck features these exceptional, max-level cards.

As is almost always the case, I pulled some fantastic cards from these packs this time too, including not just common ones but also rare and gold cards. One ability I really love is "Bloodlust," which boosts a card's stats by +1 after every killing blow; this ability is a feature of every card in the Gladiator set. The cards I obtained cover a wide range: in low-mana battles, you can see stellar performances from cards like Orella Abadon, the Gobson family cards, Ajax Lightfoot, and Whistling Damon, while in high-mana battles, cards like Captain Katie, Alva the Crusher, Liza Fox, and Chimney Wallstop can wreak havoc. My personal favorites among them are Liza Fox, Chimney Wallstop, Captain Katie, and Katrelba Gobson; when used correctly, simply having them on your team can become a nightmare for the opponent. What's more, I pulled a total of three gold cards from these four Gladius packs—two at Level 2 and one at Level 3. I already owned a Level 3 gold card of Alva the Crusher, meaning combining them would upgrade the card to Level 4; however, I cannot trade these gold cards because, as far as I know, they will remain soulbound forever—unless the Splinterlands team decides otherwise.
