Splinterlands: Fireworks when two Legendary Archons go head-to-head!🔥

I have been using Captain Frankie for roughly 3–4 seasons now, and without a doubt, my win rate in battles fought with this Archon consistently stays above 90%. Consequently, I have a clear understanding of this Archon's powers and the impact they wield. Thus, whenever an opponent faces me with a team featuring this Archon, I get the sinking feeling that the battle is already lost—simply because that has been the outcome almost every single time so far. Although I have rarely encountered Captain Frankie on the opposing side, whenever I have faced him in battle, I have suffered a crushing defeat. That was precisely the sentiment I felt at the very beginning of last night's battle.

The impact of this was evident in the first two rounds; Captain Frankie had boosted the enemy's attack power to such an extent that, by the start of the third round, more than half of my team had been wiped out, while the enemy still stood firm. However, if you take a closer look at the stats of the numerically superior enemy—specifically their health—you will realise that while they may be powerful, they are simultaneously fragile. This constitutes a major drawback when facing Captain Frankie: the cards within his supportive bloodlines lack substantial health. Consequently, although their attacks may be formidable, they prove vulnerable when it comes to withstanding the opponent's assaults. To exploit this weakness, however, it is crucial for your cards to systematically pick off the enemies one by one. I possessed two such cards: one equipped with the 'Opportunity' ability to target the weakest enemy, and another with the 'Thorns' ability to inflict retaliatory damage upon every melee attacker. Yet, both of these cards were knocked out during the first two rounds; all things considered, the situation was precarious.🔥

But then came the moment for my trump card! While Captain Frankie is undoubtedly an incredible, legendary Archon, another legendary Archon—Elowen Sylphie—is no less formidable. My deck for this battle contained several other Archons alongside Captain Frankie, but I chose the legendary Elowen Sylphie for this specific battle. Firstly, his abilities empower the melee attackers of his supportive bloodline, granting them the Charge ability, which allows them to launch attacks from any position within the lineup. Furthermore, another of this legendary Archon's powers allows you to bestow the Resurgence ability upon any two cards in your team; this grants those two cards the power to reappear on the battlefield with 100% of their original stats, even after being knocked out once. Thus, the three cards remaining in my team at that moment were, in reality, not just three, but five cards—thanks to the two possessing the Resurgence ability. The ensuing storm on the battlefield was so intense that a battle which, just a round earlier, seemed destined for defeat, was now easily secured as a victory.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
