After playing back-to-back seasons in Wild, I took a break and played in Modern this season just to see if there was any significant difference in my Glint rewards—since those rewards are crucial for purchasing draws and chests to build my deck. Although I was very excited when I first switched from Modern to Wild and my Glint rewards were quite good, the rewards dropped slightly the following season, even though I won roughly the same number of battles. I know that Glint rewards fluctuate based on the league, the tier, and the specific cards used; playing in higher leagues with superior cards increases the weight of your rewards. I play with a mix of card types—including some Gold cards—so my rewards remain decent; for instance, combining the season-end rewards, I earned around 130,000 Glint this time, which is on par with what I would earn playing in Wild.

Honestly, I didn't notice any significant difference in the rewards—especially considering that purchasing the Wild Pass alone costs 2,000 DEC, and on top of that, you end up spending another 4,000–5,000 DEC acquiring better, higher-level cards for the set without even realizing it. Viewed in that light, playing Wild is undoubtedly an expensive affair; however, you can still play if the cost doesn't bother you and your main goal is to enjoy the thrill of the Wild format. After all, while it is true that playing Wild involves high costs, it is equally true that it offers a unique Splinterlands experience—one that is far more thrilling and fun than the Frontier or Modern modes.

Based on this analysis, I am certain for now that I do not want to play in Wild mode. The reason isn't just the cost; after playing two seasons in Wild, I’ve realized that most opponents possess cards that are far superior and at much higher levels than mine. To beat them, you would either need to rent similarly powerful, high-level cards—which would be very expensive, as we are talking about an entire deck of quality cards capable of handling any situation, not just a few good ones—or face constant defeat. Losing repeatedly wouldn't be fun and would only lead to frustration. So, what is the alternative? Well, I believe—and this is exactly what I plan to do—that I should first stock my deck with the best, highest-level cards possible. Even if I don't own cards from older sets, I will at least have a full range of cards from the new 'Conclave Arcana' set upgraded to the maximum level. If I do decide to play Wild later, I might only need to rent a few specific cards from older sets. This approach will improve my in-game performance while keeping costs down.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
