Splinterlands: As you progress through the game!🔥

On Splinterlands, I sometimes do things that I wouldn't normally do for myself, but I do them to show and explain various game features to you (new players), so that you are aware of those features and can take them into account as you progress through the game.

As I have demonstrated the process of buying loot chests and discussed their advantages, disadvantages, and the probabilities of winning anything in detail in several blog posts. But I personally prefer not to buy loot chests because I don't like the uncertainty of what I might win. Instead, rarity draws are much better because, while you obviously don't know exactly which card you'll get, by buying a rarity draw, you at least know whether you'll get a rare, epic, or some other rarity card.

So, this blog post is about Merits... Generally, as far as I know, Merits are earned by participating in Brawls, which you can then use to buy various items in the Guild Store, one of which is the Gladius Pack. Each pack contains 5 random cards from the GLADIUS Gladiator set, with at least one guaranteed Rare card or better. By following this process, I have purchased dozens of Gladiator cases so far, and with 5 cards per pack, I have accumulated many cards from this set in my deck, and several of them are on their way to being upgraded to level 3. This feature might already exist in Splinterlands, but I saw it for the first time today: in the Reward Shop, under the loot chests, in the resources section, you can also find Merits. This means that Merits can not only be earned by participating in Brawls but can also be purchased. Although their use will still be restricted to the Guild Store, the point is that whenever you feel the need to purchase a Gladius pack, and you don't have enough Merits, you can buy them from the Reward Shop. Their cost is the same as your Glint rewards; for example, today I purchased 600 Merits for 600 Glints and then went to the Guild Store and bought a Gladius case with them.

And all the cards I got from today's pack are mind-blowing! It's as if the game read my slightly disappointing review from yesterday's blog and decided to give me all the best cards this time. You can see their stats; for level one cards, they are amazing. Besides their default Deadly Bloodlust ability, the Reach, Double Strike, Sneak, and Shield abilities are more than enough to make these cards stand out in any lineup. I've collected a total of 25 cards from this set in my deck, 13 of which are upgraded to level 2 and are now on their way to level 3. And if we talk about the total number of copies, I have 92 copies of this card set. That's a huge number, and I'll probably upgrade many of these cards to level 3 soon. And then, whenever I start playing battles in Wild mode in the future, all these cards will play a crucial role in strengthening my team.🔥

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
