Splinterlands: Another PIT Challenge against The Big Leronski!🔥

I was incredibly excited the first time I explored this Pit Challenge because it was my first time seeing something like this on Splinterlands—where you have to build a team specifically to face an ultra-giant, powerful opponent—and the experience was truly unique and fun. Since I had no idea about the difficulty levels back then, I had chosen the easiest opponent; one reason for this was that, before confirming your choice, you don't know anything about the ultra-powerful giant's abilities or powers. So, last time I picked the easy one and won easily, but this time I thought, "Why not make the game a bit more thrilling?" The worst that could happen is I’d lose the battle and miss out on the potential 'Spark' reward associated with the challenge—but hey, it’s a game, so it ought to be fun, right? That’s why I decided to go with a medium-difficulty Pit Fighter this time and proceeded.

On the next page detailing the battle rules, I discovered that this particular Pit Fighter was significantly more formidable than the 'Easy' version I had encountered before. In terms of stats, it boasted a massive 7 Melee Attack power, along with 8 Armor, 3 Speed, and a staggering 63 Health Points. Furthermore, the figure was equipped with three special abilities: 'Void Armor,' which alters the mechanics of magic attacks by forcing them to strike Armor first—just like Melee and Ranged attacks; 'Painforge,' which grants a +1 Attack boost whenever the card takes damage from Poison or Burning effects; and finally, 'Magic Reflect,' which rebounds 50% of the damage from magic attacks back onto the attacker. It was clear that I absolutely should not build a team relying on magic attack cards, as this fighter was fully protected against them. I also had to be careful to avoid using Poison against this opponent, as the Poison effect would only serve to increase its attack power over time.

Despite having all the knowledge, I made a big mistake or rather, a deliberate choice while selecting my team. I knew i was summoning 2 cards with poison ability, yet since I had no better option available in my deck, so, I knowingly proceeded with that move. However, at the very front, I placed a card with the Thorn ability. This was a strategic choice made to inflict damage on the melee attacker opponent over two rounds. Since this Thorns ability tank had armors as well as health and the enemy lacked the Piercing ability, the ultra powerful giant opponent regardless of how powerful it's attack was would inevitably take two rounds to knock out this tank and reach my other cards. During those two rounds, the rest of my team's attackers continued striking the enemy l. The strategy was simple, yet the battle was far from easy. In a way the enemy has a total of 71 health points (63+8), and defeating this giant opponent required completely whittling that down.

To be honest, looking at my deck in the starting, I thought I would lose this battle. I had included two cards that were likely to strengthen the enemy more than damage them, a major concern given how powerful the opponent already was. Yet, somehow, I won comfortably; only two of my cards were knocked out, while the enemy was ultimately defeated. It was incredibly satisfying to watch especially since that ultra powerful giant opponent's attack power had surged to 20 melee power by the end of the battle. Regardless of the damage taken, the result was a win for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the battle. Winning the Pit Challenge also earned me 500 Sparks. Anyway, even if I had lost, I would have still enjoyed the thrill, as these types of battles create a unique atmosphere in the splinterlands, but since I won, it was a profitable outcome in every respect. 🔥

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
