I won this card just yesterday after unlocking the Gold League. In fact, I mentioned in a post yesterday that the 'Husk of the Hunter'—a ranged attack card from the Earth element—is one of my favorites among the 'Common' rarity cards; naturally, I’m always eager to level up my favorites. I hadn't been able to log into Splinterlands all day until this evening, and before jumping into a match, I decided to check my deck to see if anything was ready to be leveled up. It turned out this card was all set to advance to Level 3, and having fully leveled-up cards will ultimately give me the advantage in battles.

I opened the card, selected all the copies, and clicked the 'Combine Cards' button in the top-right menu. An important point that new players often overlook is that combining cards cannot be undone; so, if for any reason you wish to trade or delegate those individual card copies separately, do not combine them. This is because merging five copies creates a single Level 2 copy, which is treated and used as one Level 2 card rather than five distinct cards. For instance, here I combined nine Level 1 copies and one Level 2 copy—totaling fourteen copies—to create a Level 3 card. However, if I were to unbind it later, I would need all fourteen scrolls, yet it would remain a single Level 3 card that could never be split again.

Now, let's talk about this card; although I own several Rare, Epic, and Legendary cards in my deck, I am also very fond of my Common cards. This is because, in certain situations, some Common cards deliver outstanding performance. Take this card, for instance: a Ranged Attack power of 3 for a 9-Mana cost is not bad, especially when combined with armor, decent speed, and 6 Health points—stats not typically found in a Common card. Furthermore, it possesses the 'Sneak' ability, allowing it to specifically target the card in the last position. That covers it up to Level 2; upon upgrading to Level 3, it gains a new ability that reduces the attack power of all enemy Ranged Attack cards by 1. While this effect can be cleansed, that can only happen if the opposing team has a card with the 'Cleanse' ability. However, if that synergy doesn't trigger, the 'Husk of the Hunter' will not only deal heavy damage to the enemy team's last card but also weaken all their ranged attack cards.🔥
