Earlier I was disappointed playing in the Wild format last season because, despite spending thousands of DEC, I wasn't earning nearly as much Glint as I used to in the Modern format. Instead of yielding higher returns than Modern—as one might expect—Wild actually generated less income, which was a major source of frustration. For any new player wondering why Glint matters: spending Glint allows you to purchase various rarity draws, chests, and other rewards. These give you the chance to add new cards and assets to your deck, ultimately improving your gameplay. This not only boosts your earning potential but also ensures you get the best possible enjoyment out of the game. For instance, I currently need a dozen cards for Wild that I don't own, forcing me to rent them using DEC. If I can use my Glint earnings to acquire better, higher-level cards for my deck, I’ll likely need to rent fewer cards over time. This would lead to savings that I could then use for other purchases. It might not seem crucial if you look at it from just one angle, but understanding this entire chain reaction reveals its true importance.

I had been disappointed throughout the season because the Glint earnings I saw accumulating were quite low; however, the day after the season ended, when my PPF (Player Provident Fund) savings were added to my wallet, I realized the return was actually quite decent—certainly meeting my minimum expectations. While it is true that these rewards have the potential to be much better, what I earned last season was still quite good. I now have a total of over 210,000 Glint. Since I had planned to purchase as many Legendary Draws as possible at the end of the season, I headed to the Reward Shop and bought three Legendary Draws at 70,000 Glint each, costing me a total of 210,000 Glint. Some might consider this a steep price—and I couldn't do anything during the Rebellion set era as I wasn't in Splinterlands then—but now, with the Arcana set, I aim to upgrade as many Legendary cards in my deck as possible to their highest levels. At the same time, I’ll keep purchasing Common and Rare draws occasionally; playing in the Wild format has taught me that not all Legendary cards are necessarily powerful—many Common and Rare cards possess ultimate abilities that can overpower even the mightiest Legendary cards.

If you are a regular follower of mine, I probably don't need to mention that I used 60 Alchemy Potions (20 x 3) to open these draws—consider it just a formality. Shown in the screenshot below are the cards I obtained from these draws. First up is "Chuma Marandu," a powerful Dragon-element melee attack card. It is the first Legendary Dragon card in my deck and boasts impressive stats: for an 8-mana cost, it offers a massive 4 melee attack power, 2 armor, 7 health points, and 3 speed. Most importantly, it possesses the "Sneak" ability; without such special abilities, melee cards usually struggle to perform unless placed in the first position, but "Sneak" gives this card the freedom to attack from anywhere in the lineup, which is a huge advantage. Next is the second card, "Nyasha Mbalika," a Fire-element ranged attack card. It also comes with a similar mana cost, featuring 3 ranged attack power, 1 armor, 5 health, and 4 speed. I really liked its stats, and I tested it in battles immediately after adding it to my deck; its speed helped it strike first, while the "Opportunity" ability allowed it to target the enemy's weakest card. The third card today is the Water-element "Sten Slatehelm." Compared to the other two, this is a somewhat basic card because its attack power is quite low; however, its mana cost is only 2, making it a useful asset in low-mana battles. Plus, since it has the "Close Range" ability, you can place it anywhere you like in the lineup.
