Splinterlands: Added 25 Gladiator cards to my deck!🔥

Last night, I once again thought about collecting Gladiator cards. The reason was seeing opponents in the Wild format use high-level Gladiator cards—some of which possessed the 'Double Strike' ability and the power to target specific positions—along with the 'Bloodlust' ability that made them even more powerful after every killing blow; often, even my best cards seemed completely helpless against them. So, I checked my Merits balance and decided it was the right time to pull a large number of Gladiator cards at once. I purchased five Gladius Cases in a single go, from which I pulled a total of 25 Gladiator cards (5 cases × 5 cards each).

In the screenshot above, you can see a total of eight cards: one Epic, two Rare, and five Common. Among the Common cards, my favorite is 'Chimney Wallstop'; I have it upgraded to Level 3, where it boasts +1 Health and +1 Speed. I also have 'Alva the Crusher' upgraded to Level 4, featuring +1 Attack Power, +1 Health, and +1 Speed; thanks to its Shield ability, this card makes a significant impact on the battlefield. 'Relenor Cleaver' is another solid Rare card that I currently have upgraded to Level 2, with +1 Armor and +1 Health. Finally, the best of the lot—the Epic card 'Gorth'—is upgraded to Level 2, giving it an extra Health point. However, I haven't found any card with the 'Double Strike' ability among these, which is currently a priority for me.

The next set of 8 cards also includes two rare cards, both of which are excellent and frequently used in my battles. One of them is the Death element melee card, Kotriphus Bayne; I have upgraded it to the point where it gains +1 attack power. Although its lack of a special ability restricts me to placing it only in the frontline under normal conditions, the Water element melee card Relenor Cleaver—thanks to its 'Reach' ability—can be strategically placed in the second line of defense, a tactic that proves quite effective. However, in this set, my focus is on the Earth element melee card Katrelba Gobson because it possesses the 'Double Strike' ability. I currently have this card upgraded to Level 3, and out of curiosity, I checked its stats: at Level 4, its melee attack power increases by +1. This means that with 3 melee attack power and the 'Double Strike' ability, it would deal a total of 6 melee damage to the enemy. Furthermore, if the enemy is knocked out during that attack, the card's 'Bloodlust' ability grants a +1 boost to all stats, raising its damage output from 6 to 8 melee damage.

The remaining cards include one Rare, one Epic, and seven Common cards. Aside from Katrelba Gobson, two of these stand out as particularly excellent and useful: Palidon Rakk, an Earth-element Rare melee attack card, and Edith Emberstar, a Water-element ranged attack card that distinguishes itself with its massive ranged attack power. Having witnessed their in-game performance, I know these are amazing cards. Hopefully, after pulling these, my deck will now contain cards worth leveling up—cards that might unlock even greater powers at higher levels. I also hope this will help improve my performance in the Wild format; while I’ve fared better in Modern this week, I am keen to boost my ranking in Wild as well.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
