Splinterlands: A slightly updated strategy for this season!🔥

Fisrt of all, in most of my battles this season, I’ve chosen 'Akane'—a Legendary Dragon-element card—as my Archon. Why? Because it’s always available and fits my strategy perfectly. Previously, my strategy was to place heavily armed melee attackers on the front line; regardless of the battle's mana cap, I always prioritized including my most powerful cards in the lineup, even if it meant exhausting all the available mana on them. That approach actually led to a crushing defeat in a battle against my guild chief. This time, however, I tweaked my strategy: instead of attackers, I placed defender cards on the front line and positioned my other heavily armed cards behind them—a setup you can see in the battle screenshot above.

In this battle with a 29-mana cap and the 'Shapeshift' ruleset, instead of choosing the standard Archon, I opted for the Dragon element's legendary Archon Akane (which I own at Level 2). I placed the low-cost Halfling Refugee at the front of the lineup; with 6 health points, it was capable of providing some defense for the team. Next, I deployed a 0-mana magic card; although it is an attack card, its role here was simply to absorb enemy attacks and shield the rest of the team—a task both frontline cards performed admirably. Right behind them, I positioned a heavy melee attacker that used its 'Sneak' ability to knock out the enemy's last-position card in the very first round.

Next, I included two magic attack cards that offer excellent synergy. The 'Torrent Sniper' possesses the 'Painforge' ability, which boosts its attack power by +1 when hit by an allied card, while the 'Shock Trooper' has the 'Electrified' ability, delivering a powerful jolt to an allied card every round. Consequently, the jolt from the 'Shock Trooper' increases the 'Torrent Sniper's' attack power by +1 each round; this creates a nightmare scenario for the enemy, combining the inherent deadliness of magic attacks with a constantly escalating attack power.

Not stopping there, I positioned the Ironwing Juggernaut at the end of the lineup; its primary role was to shield the Shock Trooper from enemy cards possessing "Sneak" abilities. Although the opposing team lacked any heavy-hitting cards capable of inflicting significant damage on the Shock Trooper, I had ensured all-around protection for my team—a strategy that proved highly effective—and I won the battle quite easily with this revised approach.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
