Splinterlands: A new strategy involved purchasing a dozen copies of a magic card! đŸ”„

Just yesterday, I shared with you a trick for making the best possible use of the "Painforge" ruleset to your advantage—a strategy I have tried many times, and one that works beautifully every single time. The synergy between Painforge and the ability to deal damage to one's own cards was so impressive that it sparked a thought in my mind: why should this dynamic be limited solely to matches played under the Painforge ruleset? Consequently, I began searching for cards that possess this specific ability. For the time being, my search focused primarily on the Water element, and I successfully discovered an excellent card—"Torrent Sniper"—specifically of the Magic Attack type. As it happens, I already owned two copies of this card; however, at Level 1, it did not yet possess the Painforge ability. Therefore, I decided to purchase 12 additional copies, as I required a total of 14 copies to upgrade it to Level 3.

At Level 1, this card possessed only the Snipe ability, which grants it the power to attack the first non-melee card; to acquire the Painforge ability, it had to be upgraded to Level 3. As I mentioned, I already possessed two copies of this card; therefore, to reach the required total of 14 copies for Level 3, I needed 12 additional copies. To acquire these, I purchased 12 copies from the market at a rate of $0.079 per copy, costing me a total of $0.95. I then selected these 12 newly acquired copies—along with the two I already owned—and clicked "Combine," thereby upgrading the card to Level 3. If you are a new player, it is also important to understand that in order to use higher-level cards in battle, you require an Archon of the same or a higher level. I am able to do this because I recently upgraded an Archon in the Water element to its maximum level; consequently, I can now utilize this card—as well as other similar cards—at their higher levels.

Now, let me explain my strategy: under the Painforge ability, if a card is struck by its own ally—whether through Poison, Burning, or any other means—that card's Power increases by +1. Typically, the Painforge ruleset offers an advantage only when your team is under the influence of an enemy's Poison or Burning effects; in such instances, it rarely—and only for specific cards—provides a benefit. Thus, in a sense, you could say that this ruleset serves to shield your cards from the potential threat of Poison attacks inherent in the enemy's strategy. However, if you can inflict similar damage upon your own team—even if only slightly—you can proactively grant your team the benefit of gaining that +1 Power boost from Painforge. That is precisely why acquiring this card is an integral part of my plan.

I will now position the Shock Trooper within my team, placing the Torrent Sniper directly alongside it. The result of this arrangement is that, starting from the beginning of the second round—and in every subsequent round—whenever the Shock Trooper strikes an adjacent card with an electric shock (thanks to its Electrified ability), the Power of that adjacent card will increase by +1. Furthermore, since this card utilizes Magic-type attacks, the damage it inflicts upon the enemy will prove to be quite costly. This synergy will serve to make my Painforge-enabled card even more formidable. I will soon put this strategy to the test with this card and share with all of you exactly how it performed relative to my expectations.😎

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!đŸ”„

The electrified from shock trooper when activated won't affect torrent sniper because of painforge right. What about the othe units.

The best I have enjoyed painforge was when the ruleset was painforge. That is all units on both sides has painforge and in this case if you have shock trooper in the lineup, the effect is amazing when electrified is activated.

Anyway congratulations 🎉👏 on your upgrade warrior! More wins to you.

And there's even an Archon that gives your entire team the painforge ability, it's in the death team.
Very nice upgrade you made, I use it a lot together with shock trooper 👌
