Splinterlands: The End of Season has Arrived, Here's How I Fared With the New Format!

This was a rough season starting out... I started in Gold but all the way back in the Wood division. I worked my way up all the way to Gold division 3, which was no easy task and took some luck right up to the end! Overall I feel it was a good season and I earned some nice SPS and Glint rewards.

I managed to finish the season ranked 50th in the Gold Bracket, which earned me an extra bonus of 25K Glint! In Frontier I didn't fare nearly as well, with the new cards and strategies I just got outplayed...

As for season reset, I am now in Division 2 of the Gold Bracket. I'm not sure how play will go yet, but I'll wait until tomorrow until I dive in and see how I do, as I already completed my daily rewards for the day just prior to the end of season.

As I mentioned earlier, this morning I managed to unlock Gold Modern Division 3 which was very exiting!

And just like every new division it comes with some rewards including one ultimate chest.

Here's how things looked right after the flip, no jackpots... I did get enough Merits in the ultimate chest to purchase a Gladius case.

I promptly opened it and got a legendary pull of Larissa Kerato, a dragon card. Not enough to level any cards up though.

So what to do with all that Glint? I decided to go for some legendary and epic cards!

Sadly the legendary pulls weren't anything new, nor particularly valuable. And no gold foils, it's been a very long time since I've seen a gold legendary in rewards cards...

Epics weren't much better sadly, but it did give me enough Voss cards to level up to level 3! I increases his magic attack up to two which is nice!

So overall, not too bad a day. I had hoped for a nice gold foil, oh well. I did earn 657 SPS which was nice though, and I'll take that any day of the week!

Opening Three Foundations Packs

In my posts I always like to share some pack openings. Especially if they happen to have something good inside, this one wasn't a disappointment.

Here I got a very lucky pull of a gold foil water archon Marlai Singariel. I already have a maxed out copy of this one, so this will likely go up for sale at some point when the prices look good. The Saltwater Mage was also a nice surprise, a very useful water splinter epic card. The Aurelia was nice too, but is currently overpopulated and not selling for much more than $0.03 sadly...

Nothing particularly valuable here, but still a pack with three epics is rare! All three are very useful cards. I have maxed out copies on all three in gold foil, so they will be going up for sale as well. Not a bad day on the Foundations packs!

That will wrap things up for today, we'll see how this new season treats me... I hope to do better in Frontier Mode as I kind of got slaughtered last season with new cards and strategies showing up.
