The last season of Splinterlands ended a few days ago, and just now I'm getting around to posting my results. I guess better late than never! Overall it wasn't too bad, as I did well in Modern but continue to struggle in Frontier, with the new cards and new strategies I'm still learning to counter. But that how this game always is, always a new challenge!
Here's how my End of Season came out, I forgot to do Survival.

I got some decent glint and SPS earnings. So let's spend that glint! First up three legendary pulls, alas, no gold foils...

All three are cards I already have, but the second one did allow me to level up with was kind of cool:

It makes it usable for me in gold in Modern now, which is a nice development. I just need to figure out how to use it! Then I picked up some epics, but no new ones for me here either...

I guess I can hang onto the dups and either upgrade or sell them if I decide to unlock them. Sadly, no gold foil drops came my way today!

This is really a nice card and underappreciated at times. But it can win the game when placed right. That Execute at level two allows it a second attack on a card that it just attacked and left with two or less health. Then Lookout at level three reducing damage taken to adjacent cards from sneak or opportunity attacks.

So here's a short battle, but it's fun. And one I really should have lost!

This first screenshot is after the buffs are applied but before the action starts. It's a battle in Modern with a relatively low mana of 22. I tend to struggle with these for some reason...
I chose Kaylia Silverleaf as archon because she is low mana and offers a one point reductions in the enemies magic attacks across the board, as well as Execute, which mean if after an attack if the opponent's card has two health or less remaining my attacker gets a second attack to finish them off.
First up I chose the Halfing Refugee for tank as it's one mana and has self heal. Sadly it also has exhaustion meaning it can suddenly tire out and not heal or attack for a turn. Next up I placed Halaran Huntress followed by the underappreciated Buttercup Mauler. To round off the team I used Thanalorian Blade, the real star of the show today!
My opponent chose Chuul Jujinchi as archon, then Saltwraith Bulkhead as tank followed by a secondary tank of Halfling Refugee. Next in line was the Blackmoor Trickster and rounded off with Albahoo Forester. Not a bad team at all, as a matter of fact I was a bit worried I had lost!

By round three things were starting to thin out a little bit...

Midway through round four things weren't looking very good for me in the least...

But thanks to two turns of the Refugee being exhausted I was able to take her out with a hit and execute.

Then for the last card standing on both sides. I got a good hit in followed by an execute as it has only two health left.

And the final deathblow! Great game to my opponent! I really got lucky on this one to be honest, that Exhaustion is costly when it happens at the wrong time. When it happens twice in a row it's frustrating, but part of choosing the card! The Execute on the last two opposing cards really saved the day making Thanalorian Blade today's VIP!

I always like to share a pack opening or two, these weren't bad from a couple days ago:

A couple gold foil cards, the Vicious Quillian being a nice pull along with water archon Marlai. So not too bad as far as these Foundations packs are concerned!
If you don't yet play Splinterlands, it is a fun game and free to play in Frontier Mode. So give a try, if you haven't joined in on the fun of playing Splinterlands you can join here: https://splinterlands.com?ref=thebighigg

That will wrap up my post for today. I do hope you enjoyed it, and please feel free to leave any questions or comments below. As always, thank you for all of your support, it's greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

Love those glints man.
nice that you can buy the legendary card. I was only able to buy epic, and a bunch of rare cards with them.
