Happy Wednesday everyone! It's been a bit of a busy day so far, but since it's a short work week here, I've been trying to get a few things buttoned up before tomorrow. For time off there is always extra work that has to be done first!
The latest season of Splinterlands just ended and I haven't gotten around to sharing my result quite yet. It wasn't too bad even though I wasn't playing as much as I would have like due to lack of time. But I still ended up with some decent glint bonus rewards!

I like to do legendary draws when I have enough glint, and this was no exception. However, this time I got a very luck pull! A gold foil Nessa, my first gold foil legendary from Conclave Arcana!

Now onto the focus of today's post, Skritka. @mango-juice wrote a post about this card recently and I decided to check it out. I went beyond the check it out phase straight to the renting phase to try it out because it looked so useful. I'm at the point now that I want to buy one, but it may have to wait for the time being...

This is a Death splinter card with Rodentian bloodline which makes it very useful with an archon like Captain Frankie. It has some very unique abilities that make it interesting to play. From level one it has dual attack of three melee and two ranged along with Kindred Will: Life Leach giving adjacent kindred spirit units Life Leach. At level two it picks up Charge meaning it can use it's melee attack from any position. Now it is a serious threat! At level three the melee attack is up to four, and at level four ranged attack increases to three and it picks up Bulwark. When in first position is loses two power but picks up eight health and eight armor. A maxed out version of this card is pretty badass to say the least!
I didn't rent a maxed out copy, just a level two as I don't have a maxed up summoner nor do I have the funds for a level four rental. But level two is sufficient for my needs so far! Let's see it in action!

This battle isn't incredibly long but shows just how well in fits in with a Rodentian team with Captain Frankie.

This battle is in Modern mode with a mana cap of 44 and rulesets of Up Close & Personal (only melee cards allowed) and Super Sneak (all melee attackers can attack from any position and target the last card on the opponent's team unless camouflaged.) This setup felt like a great way to try out Skritka, so here we go!
For my archon I chose to use Captain Frankie as he allows Bloodline Dominion so you can use any Rodentian or Tideborn monsters available in all available splinters and gives Inspire to all team members. In first position I placed Saltwraith Pirate as he give Bloodline Tribute to all rodent types on the team upon his demise. For tank I chose Nim Guard Captain followed by Echelon, both of which come from the Foundations packs. I then placed Skritka with the next card in line being Saltwraith Bulkhead. I chose him because he is a tough card and the ruleset is Super Sneak, so he would be taking the brunt of the punishment. And last I placed Kervik as he is protected by his Camouflage ability.
My opponent chose Reklah as archon at level 8, so a maxed out archon! For a tank they went with Thornmaw Berserker followed by Spinetail Fiend. Next up was the Filthy Scavenger with Night Stalker immediately following. The team was rounded out with Executioner Kraan and Darkguard Hellion.
The above screenshot is after the buffs have been applied but before the battle has commenced.

Here you can see Saltwraith Bulkhead one hit kill Darkguard Hellion thanks to Super Sneak and all of the stacked up Inspire making his attack near unstoppable!

Here you get to see Skritka in action, on the melee part of the charge attack he takes out Executioner Kraan thanks to the Pierce ability I assigned it from Captain Frankie.

Here Kervik one shot kills Spinetail Fiend.

And Saltwraith Bulkhead makes the final deathblow with that nasty melee attack of eleven! Thanks to stacked Inspire my team was able to take out pretty much the whole opposing team with single blows and we never even reached round two. Skritka shows a lot of promise as a nasty attacker in this battle, I'm really enjoying this card! The Bloodline Tribute was never activated as the Saltwraith Pirate never was felled in battle or my team's attack would have been even stronger.
Great game to my opponent! Frankie is dangerous against even maxed out archons in the right scenario. I wish I could afford to buy one, but renting is all I can afford for now. Oh well, such is life!

That will wrap up toady's post. I hope you enjoyed it! Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below, and thank you for all of your support. It really is deeply appreciated. Have a great day everyone!
