Power Of Magic In Splinterlands

Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.

I hope everyone is having a great time in Splinterlands, with even more fun from new cards and strategies. The Splinterlands is becoming more exciting as new abilities are coming to the Splinterverse regularly. I am so happy to be part of the journey of the evolving Splinterlands, and I also share my insights about the game regularly. As my participation in the "SSplinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Moments That Made You a Better Player" in this post, I am going to talk about the strength of the magic attacks that made me amazed in my recent frontier mode battle with some amazing foundation cards in the Splinterlands. These cards are also very powerful for the modern format of battle also. I hope it will give you some fun for your Splinterlands journey.

There are currently three main kinds of attacks for the monsters in the Splinterlands, and they have their own pros and cons. The melee attacks can not perform until the monsters are face-to-face when they are in the 1st position of the team, which is a major drawback for them. The melee attackers usually have better stats in terms of attack number, health, and armor, and speed also. So, they are usually heavy hitters but needs to be used as primary tank. But for the Sneak, Opportunity, and reach abilities they can attacks to any monsters.

The Magic and the Range attacks are different than the melee attacks as they can attacks from other positions without any problem. Range attacks nrmally attcks from any position except the 1st position unless it has some special ability. And the magic attacksa re the most powerful as they have the following advancement over all of these three attacks categories -

  • Magic attacking monsters can attack any monsters from any positions in the team.

  • The armors are not applicable for the magic attack as they damage the hearts directly by bypassing the armors. But for other attacks, armor needs to be damaged first before attacking the hearts.

  • Magic attacks also bypass the Shield ability, which made half damage to the monster while getting attacks from the melee and the range attacks.

Little Sister is a great legendary card from the foundation edition of the Death Team, which is so beneficial for a team, and I love this monster as a team member with the Magic attacks. However, it has fewer health, which is a common characteristic for a magic attacker. Also, it is relatively higher MANA cost in comparison with many monsters in terms of the health and attack number.

Currently it is max at level 2 as a foundation card with a solid heart number of 3 and 2 magic attacks with a speed of 2. The card has the amazing ability of life leech, which increases its health after every damage it does to the opponent's hearts. Also, the Flying ability is another excellent ability that is very useful in many cases, especially when there is the battle rule of earthquake.

Sorrow Harvester is another magic attacker from the death team of the foundation card edition which I often use in my frontier mode of battles. This monster is an epic one and so it can be levelled up to three though I have a level 2 version at the moment.

It has a magic attack of 2 from level one with the lowest speed from the lowest level to level 3. It only gains one extra heart with the increase in level, and that is a maximum of 5 at level 3. The only ability that it has is the weakness that made the opponents' members lose one heart from the start of the battle.

In this battle, the magic attacks are so damaging for the opponent team, and so I won the match more smoothly than it appeared at the beginning of the battle. It proves that the power of magic attacks in the Splinterlands battle is higher than any other attacks in the battles. So, I always try to have some massive magic attackers, but often these monster has some other drawbacks, with less heart and sometimes some other damaging factors for choosing a great monster like that.

I hope you find some useful information in the post that will add more fun to your Splinterlands journey. If you have any questions, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer them as much as I can. Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch you at the next one.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing the devastation of water splinter magic attacks this week in Foundation League.

A full load out of magic casters all gaining +1 from Summoner boost. There is literally no counter !LOLZ as soon as you see the Saltwater Mage & Mystic Scaleweaver lineup time to just skip the battle.
Thankfully it doesn't happen all the time though :)

Yeah, the +magic summoner of the water Foundation is also one of my favourite and I often use that in my modern battle format. You are right sometime it doesn’t work but most of the time it is a great choice!
