Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.
I hope every one of you is having a great time in the Splinterlands. The Splinterlands is getting more excitement now as the new additions are happening here on a regular basis, and now the Frontier format has been started with some free rewards which are sellable and transferable, with the amazing opportunity of weekly draws that can be great with the winning of some of the rarest card collections in the Splinterlands. This is a one-time opportunity for the players to have a chance to grab a Black Foil or Arcane cards from the draws. Today I am going to share my recent cards packs purchase to check my luck in details with the details cost explanation with my return on investment in terms of card values. In my future post I will share my thoughts on the debate whether to purchase cards packs or selective cards to make the best use of your funds for Splinterlands. I hope this will help you to decide which strategy is perfect for you.
I have bought 15 standard card packs that cost 60,000 DEC, which is approximately $48, and 25 starter packs that cost 25,000 DEC, which is approximately $20 according to the recent price of the DEC. So, my total purchase of the packs is almost $68-70 including the necessaryy potions to increase the possibility to pull better cards.
The best thing that I can say is having my first two legendary pulls from these 15 standard packs with one GF common and several epics in total. I am happy that at least I got these legendary, otherwise my loss for this investment could be so big that I could stop investing in card pack purchases in the future.
It is true that most of the time if you don't buy cards in bulk quantities, then it is better to buy specific cards according to your need. But as always I try to check my luck throughout my journey to grab some GF legendary that can make everything different. Also, the black foil or Archons can make you rich if you are so lucky to have them.
Another good thing that I want to share that I have been rewarded with a free Wagons for spending more than 100K DEC in the shop and I need to spend another wagons with more cost of 77K DEC which I will do by the next month.
It is a great way to increase my ROI which is very important to keep tracking for your cards. I have got several epics this time as you can see in the following image from the standard cards opening. But it is also true that many packs are less than the starter cards in terms of ROI which I will talk in the following section.
Starter Packs
Starter packs are great to level up your commonsa and rare including the summoners as rare cards are ensured in these packs except the rare and common cards, you don't have any chance to pull any other cards from these packs. But often these packs can be beneficial for the summoners and in initial assessment I have sen more ROI in starter packs than the standard packs.
Though it s still very early to comment that but I will share in details assessment on this issue in my future blogs.
One thing that I can assure that you will have a lot of RARE from these starter cards. I have pulled more than single RARE from most of my packs.
I have made my record by pulling 4 RARE from a single starter card pack which is really an aspiring factor to buy more starter packs. And I always do this when I biy some packs I keep a part of my investments for these starter cards.
So, why I prefer buying cards packs also, with my ongoing strategy to buy specific cards fro the market as I have bought my first GF summoner from the market to have my summoners at the max level first before the other monsters.
First reason is to check my luck for having better cards from the opening packs.
Initially I need a lot commons cardsa to able to play the modern format and Conclave Arcana will last after the next card edition, so I have to buy them more as I have skipped the rebellion edition.
Opening packs is always exciting and I will continue to do that.
But I will not put all my funds for opening packs. I will roughly said 30-40% of my investment in opening packs and the rest I will use for direct card purchasing.
Finally, I think it is not a good idea to miss the opportunity have some black foil or Arcana cards from the cards pool which I can never buy from the market as they are extremely expensive!
So, what is your plan regarding the Card packs opening in Splinterlands. I am excited to grab some amazing cards from the these packs and I am going to be regular in opening card packs in Splinterlands until they ends.
I hope you find some useful information in the post that will add more fun to your Splinterlands journey. If you have any questions, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer them as much as I can. Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch you at the next one.
