My Short-term Return On Investment In Conclave Arcana

Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.

I hope that everyone in the Splinterlands is having a great time. The Splinterlands are getting more exciting now that the new card edition, Conclave Arcana, a new set of core cards, is out. Players are loving the new strategy, and the sphere is at its most exciting phase right now. I am also very excited about these new cards, and I have also started buying packs and searching for good cards to build my Conclave Arcana decks as I will build up these decks after my old decks CL editions have now become unusable in the modern format, where I had my max out monsters which I usually used. Before I delve into the market, I am doing some analysis and trying to fix up which strategy I will follow, and I'm going to talk about some of the most important things I think about the new cards and how I plan to collect them them for building stronger decks.

I didn't buy a lot of Rebellion cards, and my earlier decks were all Chaos Legion. Now I'm going to start working on my Conclave Arcana decks, which will be usable one extra year when the next set of cards comes out. It's a long-term plan for me because I'm not a great player. I will be cautious with my investments because I need to do more research before putting a lot more money into assets that are getting a lot of attention in the sphere now. Right now, cards are very expensive, especially the new cards which are still being tested by many players like me and so I am going to chose some solid cards which will be very useful for my battle.

If I sum up my statistics of recent purchases of Conclave Arcana packs, including both the starter packs and standard packs, I found that the starter packs are more profitable. Though my sample size is much smaller, still the data shows a good behaviour, and my pulls are comparatively higher than most of the packs that will appear to be revealed. The shocking stats are that my average return on investment is only 62% for standard packs, which is not a good thing for me.

I have got some of the best standard packs, like the following one, where I have got a GF common card, one RARE, which is a summoner, and an EPIC card in the same pack. But still, the pack is unable to pull back the money that I have spent on it. So, you can imagine how you can lose money in purchasing packs if you are not opening in bulk, or a large number of packs. And with some Black foil, and legendary, you can pull out more than your cost if you are lucky enough.

I have also bought total 14 of starter packs for my comparative analysis and I found that starter packs are better in terms of my decks as I will max out the rare and the common first then I can move to the epic and the legendary at the final stage when I will need the most meta cards at the first choice basis.

In my experience, many more RARE cards offer good return value with these starter card purchases, and it is convenient to buy them on a regular basis. I am focusing on these cards, which will be the backbone for my decks, as a max out Conclave Archana set is about 6000 bucks according to some players' analysis, which I can not afford right now!

My current strategy is based on these statistics, which I am going to sum up in the following points.

  • I will not max out my decks only from pack opening, but most of the cards I need, I will buy from the market separately to minimise cost. But along with that, I will continue buying packs to try my luck for some legendaries and black foil!

  • In the long term, I will buy more standard packs because they offer the ultimate opportunity to have everything in these packs, which can be the most convenient return on value when I do not have enough funds to buy the higher-level packs. And the starter pack will be my snacks often to level up my rare and commons faster.

  • Meanwhile, I will rent some summoners to continue my modern format battle from the rebellion or conclave sets, which will be cheaper and convenient for me. I am already renting some summoners, around 1500 DEC per season, which is quite okay, as I have already returned with earned SPS from the modern format.
