Immortalis Gives A Divine Solution

Welcome to my blog for this week's entry into the splinterlands social media contest. This month hasn't been a good month to me. I say this cause I've not been at my best with my blog. It seems the energy and zeal that I had in the month of January just died down for now apparent reason so I'll have to try and rejuvenate that.

Yes, I know I said I was going to play less and less splinterlands this season but being away from the game for a while has made me feel more lazy to even play it. It's ironic how I couldn't miss a day but now it's been 8 days since I last played. The only this I've successfully done is to play brawls for the time being so for today I'll try to play a lot of battles; if not a lot I'll at least try to deplete the energy on that account. So let's get into it.

Upon resuming play I am in gold. I can't remember correctly but since I didn't play a lot of games last season it seems I didn't make it into diamond. This season I am in gold and with the season about to end let's see If I will be able to make it into at least diamond III. I'll be talking about this game that I played yesterday before going to bed. Since we've been away for a while let's talk about a battle featuring one of my all time favorite summoner.

In this particular battle I was given 3 rulesets like I usually get. It was the divine shield ruleset, melee mayhem and the close range ruleset. In a battle like this I was given a mana of 53 which is more than enough for me to go out and choose crazy good monsters. So with a melee mayhem ruleset I just knew I'd have to get in those crazy melee which I can't choose on those days cause they have no opportunity or reach ability.

So I went for the immortarlis summoner as usual. This summoner as you know it has the void magic ability, shatter ability and also gives a -1 health to all enemy monsters.

For my cards i went for pelacor mercenary as my first choice card. Next up was grund cause we have the melee mayhem ruleset. Went ahead and chose Arkemis the bear too cause why not, it's a hell of a crazy card.

Then for magic cards I went for regal peryton, mycelic slipspawn and hill giant as the last melee card. So the reason for going with the summoner of choice is because since we have the divine shield ability it also means that have the shatter will help me clear the opponents shield even with the divine shield.

For me I think it was a straight forward game since I was able to kill one of his very good cards in round one. I didn't take a lot of effort to get to it so I kind of figured it wasn't going to be a difficult match as I thought it'll be after seeing his cards.
