This week's Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is all about Support articles, and the goal of the week is to talk about Splinterlands Tournaments for newcomers who are just starting out. So, we'll introduce what a tournament is, why you should participate in them, and take a closer look at an example tournament. Come check out everything about Splinterlands tournaments!

Tournaments are scheduled competitions in which players register to fight each other for a share of the Rewards Pool. Tournaments can be created by the Splinterlands team itself with prizes usually made up of in-game assets such as SPS or Boosters, but they also allow the event to be customized and have other prizes. With the recent changes to the Splinterlands card game UI/UX, the access location for tournaments has now been placed alongside other game formats. To access the tournaments, you must go to “PLAY” and then access the “Tournaments” option in the menu that will appear.

On the Tournament page, one of the reasons that will encourage you to play is clearly visible. Right at the top of the Tournaments, the total prizes that have already been distributed appear, which exceeds $7 million (counting the value in $ of the tokens on the day the event was created). The interesting thing is that to this day, the events continue to be a great source of prizes for Splinterlands. You can see next to it in 1 that the upcoming prizes are approximately $6,457. This is the magic of a fully integrated ecosystem. You can participate in tournaments with the same cards you use to battle on a daily basis, and the tournament prizes will help you improve your collection and move up the league.

Another important detail to note in the image above, in item 2, are the filters available to choose the event that you think is best. In these tournament filters you can choose: Tournament Type, Rules, Prizes and Format (Wild/Modern)

Here we have an example of a tournament, called Gaunlet Wild Bronze Invitational. Let's analyze some points so you can understand how the events work. In number 1 you will find the FEE required to participate in the event, in this case it is 100 DEC. In number 2, we can see which league the event is in, which will determine the level of the cards you will be able to use and next to whether they will be Gold foil or not. In number 5, we will have the tournament rewards, which have normally been in SPS and in this case there will be 128 winners in total.

Finally, we have number 4 with the general information about the event. In this case, it is a Wild event, that is, you can use any card from the Wild collection, and right below it, it shows that all sets can be used. Also, we have another important piece of information, which is the amount of SPS in Stake that is necessary to participate in the event and how much Power you will need as well. This is another incentive for you to increase your SPS Stake and also your Power with more cards.

Os Torneios são competições marcadas em que os jogadores se registram para lutar entre si para conseguir uma parte da Pool de Recompensas. Os torneios podem ser criador pelo próprio time do Splinterlands com premiações normalmente com ativos do próprio jogo como SPS ou Boosters, mas também permitem com que o evento seja customizado e tenha outras premiações. Com as mudanças recentes na UI/UX do jogo de cartas Splinterlands, o local de acesso aos torneios agora ficou junto de outros formatos de jogo. Para acessar os torneios você deve ir em “PLAY” e depois acessar a opção “Tournaments” dentro do menu que vai aparecer.

Na página do Torneio fica bem visível um dos motivos que vão te incentivar a jogar. Logo no topo dos Torneios aparece o total de premiações que já foi distribuído que passa de $7 milhões (contando o valor em $ dos tokens no dia da criação do evento) e o interessante é que até hoje os eventos continuam sendo uma grande fonte de premiações do Splinterlands, pode observar ao lado no 1, que as premiações que estão por vir são de aproximadamente $6457. Essa é a mágica de um ecossistema todo integrado, você consegue participar dos torneios com as mesmas cartas que você usa para batalhar no dia a dia e a premiação dos torneios vai te ajudar a melhorar sua coleção para subir de liga.

Um outro detalhe importante de se observar na imagem acima, no item 2, são os filtros disponíveis para escolher o evento que você achar melhor. Nesses filtros dos torneios você pode escolher: Tipo de Torneio, Regras, Premiações e Formato (Wild/Modern)

Aqui temos um exemplo de torneio, chamado Gaunlet Wild Bronze Invitational. Vamos analisar alguns pontos para que você consiga entender como funcionam os eventos. No número 1 você vai encontrar a FEE necessária para participar do evento, nesse caso são 100 DEC. No 2 podemos ver qual o liga é o evento, que vai determinar o nível das cartas que você vai poder usar e ao lado de elas vão ser Gold foil ou não. No 5 teremos as recompensas do torneio, que normalmente tem sido em SPS e nesse caso haverão 128 ganhadores no total.

Por fim temos o 4 com as informações gerais do evento. Nesse caso é um evento Wild, ou seja, pode usar qualquer carta da coleção Wild, logo abaixo aparece que todos os sets poderão ser usados. Ainda, temos outra informação importante que é a quantidade de SPS em Stake que é necessário para participar do evento e o quanto de power será preciso também. Essa é mais um incentivo que você tem para subir o seu Stake de SPS e também o seu Power com mais cartas.
