What is SPS Chain?
I believe that since the creation of Splinterlands as a Web3 Game, the owners have always had the idea that it would be truly decentralized, so a long way has been taken to achieve this goal. Initially, the SPS DAO was created so that decisions regarding the Splinterlands Ecosystem could be made through proposals, thus seeking a consensus among players. Now the next step is the creation of the SPS Chain, a decentralized blockchain network that will have the Hive Blockchain as its base, being Layer 1, while the tokens and smart contracts related to Splinterlands will be managed on Layer 2.

Token Cleanup Proposal & Future of SPS
Proposal 196 made by Clayboyn passed with the vast majority of votes (94%) and its objective was to prepare the SPS token for the migration from the BSC Blockchain to the SPS Validators Network (SPS Chain). The idea of the proposal is to mint all remaining SPS tokens and divide them into “buckets” that will be allocated to certain functions. This was the best way the team found to facilitate control over the distribution of tokens. In a future audit, only the “buckets” that hold the tokens will need to be audited, and from there, the DAO and the treasurer will define where they will go.
It is worth remembering that this transition ended up being more “smooth” to carry out because Clayboyn, together with the SPS DAO and Splinterlands teams, had already been taking actions to help with this process, such as a complete audit that took months and began in early 2024.
With the approval of the Proposal, the remaining SPS tokens that have not yet been minted, around 45%, have already been minted and separated into allocations that will be up to the DAO and the Treasurer to decide how future distributions will occur. O interessante é que esses testes já começaram e diversos usuários já compartilharam suas dúvidas, erros, acertos e recentmeente tem até alguns guias de como setar o SPS Validator. O importante disso é que a ideia de uma Rede Descentralizada do Splinterlands está sendo posta em prática, já é possível testar e você consegue ver pelos comentários. Agora é uma questão de ajustar possíveis bugs e melhorar o sistema e resolver a situação dos tokens SPS, que por sinal também está sendo resolvida, e o jogo Splinterlands terá a sua rede Blockchain própria, que terá como token principal o SPS.

A ideia da proposta é mintar todos os tokens SPS restantes e dividir eles em “baldes” que vão ser destinados para certas funções, essa foi a melhor maneira encontrada para o time para facilitar o controle da distribuição dos tokens e em uma auditoria futura só precisará ser auditado os “baldes” que guardam os tokens e a partir deles a DAO e o tesoureiro definem para onde irão.
Vale lembrar que essa transição acabou sendo mais “tranquila” de se realizar porque o Clayboyn, junto com a equipe do SPS DAO e do Splinterlands já vinham fazendo ações para ajudar nesse processo como uma auditoria completa que levou meses e que começou no início de 2024.
Com a aprovação da Proposta, os tokens SPS restantes que ainda não tiveram sido mintados, algo por volta de 45% já foram mintados e separados em alocações que vão ficar a cargo da DAO e do Tesoureiro em como as distribuições futuras irão ocorrer. Só fiquei na dúvida porque ainda aparece 2% como não mintado, talvez ainda falte alguns tokens.
De qualquer forma, esse é um grande passo que foi tomado no rumo da SPS Chain e de uma possível listagem do Token SPS em uma Exchange, já que um dos requisitos é uma auditoria completa no Token, que era dificil de realizar porque tinha tokens espalhados por diversas blockchains e os validores não estavam prontos.
