What type of craziness is this....

(edited)

The journey for MAX cards continues. Seems as if I only need to purchase one more Port Guardian and I'll have enough to combine and have it at MAX. Foundation cards are going for a bargain. This specific card (Port Guardian Gold Foil) is currently listed for just a little over two cents. I'm not sure where you shop at but I can tell you in the realm of Rentmoney two cents doesn't purchase you much. However in the realm of Splinterlands two cents can get you an in-game asset that you can call your own. Let that sink in for a second. You can become a digital asset owner for just two cents. Did I mention that two cent asset will help you earn more assets that have varying real world value. Anyways: I need to decide if I want to purchase using DEC or CREDITS. The first screenshot shows the cards value in DEC (40.29). The second screenshot shows the cards value in CREDITS (23). I purchased a small amount of CREDITS some weeks back using HBD through the official Splinterlands site so I decided to utilize those. Done and Done: now lets combine.

No clue how but I did it again. I somehow fumbled the amount of Port Guardian cards in my collection. I did the same count mistake a few weeks back with a different card. Back to the market I go to purchase another using CREDITS (Paypal is onsite and can be utilized to purchase Credits). 1000 Credits = 1.00 USD. Done and Done: now lets combine and post up the correct screenshot displaying our newly maxed card.

What type of craziness is this? Looking at my collection I can see I own Zero (nodda: Nothing: Not one) Gold Foil Hungry Ulund. I can't let that slide. Back to the market we go. What the..... look what I see. These cards are selling for a little over one cent. Well, I'm not passing up on that. What else am I going to do with a penny? I am going to need five of these as that is how many gold foils it takes to create a MAX Gold Foil Foundation card of the Common rarity. I will once again utilize CREDITS to do so. Total credit cost for five of these is just 69 CREDITS. That means FIVE of these GOLD FOIL cards cost me less than seven cents. Below is the new updated screenshot showing my newly purchased cards that are about to be combined. I'll use the handy select ALL option that is placed on the Splinterlands site for our combining convenience and then smash the combine button to watch the magic take place. BOOM, just like that I have a MAX Hungry Ulund and its hungry for battle.

That's it for the purchasing and combining to MAX for today. Time is precious these days. Well, truth be told time is always precious and is the only currency that is actually worth something. I'll do some more market purchasing in the upcoming days. I'm going to hit the battle-field while I have time to do so as its been a few days too long since I last collected my daily reward. I'm looking forward to seeing these cards in action. I'm sure they will help a ton with getting some ranked battle wins. From time to time we like to showcase the cards Lore. Its an important part of the Splinterlands ecosystem that people worked hard on. Below we will do just that. All images in this post are property of Splinterlands. The lore has been taken directly from the official Splinterlands site. If you are not a member of the Splinterlands community yet you can get started by browsing the games main site. There is no harm in browsing around and then deciding if you want to take that next step to sign up. Ulundin rises from the wetlands of the Northwest Lowlands, a stronghold carved from mudstone and trade. It is a city of wide canals and narrow bargains, where riverboats drift past food markets stacked with root vegetables, freshwater fish, and berries. Outsiders are rarely permitted inside, but those who are find a metropolis where appetite—for trade, knowledge, and the next good meal—drives nearly every decision.

Ulundin is the heartland of the greater ulund, known for their robust nature and unmatched resilience. They favor cool water, warm food, and slow conversation. Ulund may be massive, but they’re quicker than they look. Whether negotiating prices at a dockside stall or charging across a battlefield, they move—and think—with surprising agility.

And some, on occasion, get very hungry.

Ulund are known for their focus and discipline, but when food is involved, that focus occasionally becomes… intense. Some can consume copious cornucopias of comestibles with astonishing speed, leveling anyone foolish enough to get in their way or reach for a second helping. What looks like gluttony is—well. It’s pretty much exactly that.

It’s not personal. But you’re not getting that berry back.

Among those who guard Port Continental, some are llamataurs, known for their steady temperaments, strong builds, and woolly frames. Those who serve the Mox Confederation in this role are chosen for their discipline, vigilance, and unshakable presence along the city’s sea walls and docks.

The port guardians were formed in response to a time when piracy and corruption threatened to collapse the region’s trade. The role of guardian was proposed by the People’s Assembly as part of a broader set of reforms. What began as a necessity became a symbol of order.

Today, llamataur guardians patrol the port with quiet resolve. Their armor isn’t just functional. It’s a mark of the trust placed in them. Though peace holds, they remain alert. The waves still bring ships; not all arrive with honest cargo.

Reminder: Less than one day left for the next draw. Go get those battles in if you haven't yet. Five days until this season ends. Good luck with your rewards. Upcoming content: Poker update (its been awhile since I spoke of my bankroll. Did I zonk it back down to ZERO for the sixth time? Did I finally brake the cycle of going form $0-$200-$0-$100-$0- well you get the idea). Tune in to our next post to find out. Directly after that post we will have a look at some Arcade Colony assets and put an end to our Reddit experiment that didn't go as planned. We are going to have to do that last part of the experiment again but that is a post for another time. As always, thanks for visiting us here at the @rentmoney blog. We appreciate you spending your time with us. See you at our next post!
