Splinterlands - Still In Gold II - Frontier Draw

Yesterday when venturing to the Splinterlands site I was met with a reminder that the Frontier draw is soon ending. The message that was displayed telling me so had the direct above image in it. The first image displayed as the header here in this post can be found on the Frontier Ranked Play page. I thought both images looked sharp and worth a share thus they are now the headers for this post. Yesterday's battle's went fairly well. We got those first five wins quicker than expected. It was during our second set of five wins we managed to smash out of GOLD II into well lets see how that goes. I got a little head of myself with that last sentence. I was 60 points away from moving onward and upwards. That's right as always I'm creating this post in real time - Yesterday's today was today's yesterday. I have now lost four in a row and need 160 points to advance. It just goes to show one shouldn't count their Furious Chickens before they hatch (did you see what I did there?). Here goes another battle (Victory - lets keep rocking). We brake the four loss streak and are on our final daily for the day. Essentially being on a win one lose one path we are no closer to breaking above GOLD II then we were when we started these battles. That's ok though, lets continue.

Dang - that's four more losses in a row - this next battle will decide if we take a break or continue on. We got the win but it was against an opponent that had just one unit on the field. After a couple more defeats I determined its time for a break. I have roughly 3 more hours to complete these specific daily battles. I'll be back before then. In the mean-time I'm going to go raid my fridge to see if I can find some chocolate and a cold drink of milk to go with. Alright - I'm back and fueled with chocolate. Lets get that last daily finished. I'm now 220 points away from advancing past GOLD II. We only need two more wins and claiming all three of our daily rewards will be possible. The first battle back is a victory. It took us an additional three battles but we finally got out daily's done for the day. That is three more packs and nine more Frontier Weekly Draw entries. I got exactly 15 energy left and it was full when I started. That gives me a win/loss record for this session of 15 - 20. I do have one more set of Daily Rewards to claim before the Frontier Draw takes place. I will have to do some upgrading of cards before venturing to do so. 15 - 20 record in a session just doesn't sit right with me. Upgrading cards is a must as it will make it easier to improve on such. Break time - see you in a few.

The above was all typed out yesterday and today is a new day. We won't go over all the play-by-play details of collecting our final daily rewards before the draw started. We ended up with less Draw entries than anticipated. We were gunning for 46. I think this might be the most entries we had thus far in the Frontier Draw. I haven't check to see if we got lucky yet but we will do that in real-time in just a moments time. We haven't been overly lucky in these draws but then again we haven't been hitting our daily's like we should. So far we have one Black Foil card in our collection and that card goes by the name of Nim Guard Captain. A dandy card that has come in handy in many battles. As with all black foil cards it is at MAX (the only level it comes in). It boasts a Five shield - Seven health - Three speed and comes equipped with Dodge. Will we have luck with this weeks draw? Will we manage to beat the odds and pick up a prestige black foil card to add to our collection? We won't find out until tomorrow.

A day has past. There is over 2+ hours left before the Foundation Draw takes place and I'm trying to collect today's daily rewards. So far I been getting my Splinterlands A$$ kicked. I am 1-5 thus far but I'll keep pushing forward. We managed to collect our first daily but have just 14 energy left (enough juice for 14 battles). I decided to let my energy rebuild and not chase anymore draw entries. We ended up with 40 entries this week which is a higher than average amount for us. At the time of typing this out there is exactly 2 hours left before the draw takes place. A perfect amount of time for me to get a little grub and do an even littler amount of adulting. See you all in about 2 hours when I check on the Foundation Draw results. Alright we are back. I know what you are thinking, "What you eat RentMoney". Well, while squaring off in ranked play I had some humble pie. In "real-life" I grabbed a couple doughnuts and a coffee. I got a ham in the fridge I think I'll make a small pot of boiled dinner out of it later. But enough about grub lets check the results of the Foundation Draw. Did we hit a dud or hit a Black Foil.

Looks like we didn't get lucky this time.
