SoulKeep Airdrop: I Forgot To Claim (Did You?)

(edited)

SoulKeep: The airdrop Rentmoney forgot about

Yesterday (2.5.2025) I was doing a little digging into the SoulKeep game. I played it a little back when it was first introduced but not since it was officially released. I always planned on going back to it as tower defense games are fun to play. Attach the fact that the game was created by the Splinterlands team and has SPS rewards attached to it and that makes SoulKeep very appealing to play. As I mentioned it was awhile since I played the game or read about how the games economy works and instead of reading up on it I simply decided to dive head first and start playing. I soon figured out that I need to stake SPS if I want to compete in higher leagues and indeed I do. X amount of SPS staked allows one to earn higher rewards. Naturally I went on a discovery mission to find out more. Below you will see a screenshot of how much SPS is needed to be staked for each league. Below that screenshot you will see prize distributions. Source: The SoulKeep Whitepaper. Click here to read it

What Is Splinterlands:

Splinterlands is a play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. NFT's that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards in a robust gaming economy that also have real monetary value. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link: https://splinterlands.com. SoulKeep is a game created by the Splinterlands team. You need to sign up to Splinterlands to participate in SoulKeep which has its own set of assets and rewards similar to and shared with Splinterlands.

SoulKeep League Info

Hitting the League button in the upper right will show the player which league they are on and how many Fiend Souls are needed to unlock the next league – along with the additional rewards that the next league will grant the player.

Once a player has finished Gateway Levels for a league and collected enough Fiend Souls, they may hit the Unlock button and proceed to a new league.

SoulKeep SPS Staking

To play beyond League 1, players must delegate SPS to Soulkeep. This ensures the SPS is properly locked up and helps to fund the reward pool. These are the current requirements per League.

To Stake or see how much you have staked, tap the REWARDS button on the main menu, and hit the DELEGATE button. You can then delegate SPS to the game on the Splinterlands site.

(re)Discovering The Claim Drop:

With this new found knowledge I head back to the SoulKeep section of Splinterlands to play around with the main SoulKeep page to see what else I can discover and look what I see. There was an airdrop for those who purchased NIGHTMARE packs (SoulKeep Alpha Packs). Did @rentmoney purchase SoulKeep packs? You can bet your butt he did. A fun oversight on my part which had me wondering if some others might of forgot as well (No, just me) that's ok. Now I get to see what got dropped. I haven't yet claimed so as I type this I have no clue of the contents. Lets take a look together. There's nothing quite like found "money" except for maybe found "assets". To find the SoulKeep game: Log In Splinterlands> locate drop down menu top of page> Select SoulKeep. You are now on the SoulKeep main page and it is there that Claim Drops can be claimed. See screenshot below for visual.

How To Claim The Dropped Asset

As much as I would like to keep talking about SoulKeep this posts main focus is the Airdropped (must be claimed) asset that I completely forgot I qualified for. Lets get back to that and making that claim. We already went over the steps to get to the main SoulKeep page and how to locate the Claim Drop option but what happens after we click that little popular "Claim Drop" icon. Well there's only one way to find out. Lets do that now in real time. Once I clicked the "Claim Drop" icon the main page updates to the screenshot seen below. Looks like the drop will be the in-game character known as CELENE. The odds of receiving one of these dropped assets is 0.2% per each Nightmare Pack purchased during the set period this drop was originally planned for. Qualifying packs also have a 0.008% chance the dropped asset they qualify for turns gold. If one purchased at least 500 packs they are guaranteed an airdrop. Side note: the white lettering is very hard to read on this page. I would suggest updating it to a different color or possibly making the text bold. That's enough of my ramblings for now. Lets smash that Check For Rewards button and see what was dropped to us. RentMoney purchased 575 Nightmare packs so at the very least we should get dropped one CELENE. Lets see if we can beat the odds and get more.

One Standard Card Dropped

We did not beat the odds. We were dropped the standard one card for our 500 pack purchase and it did not turn gold. However this is found assets that I completely forgot about. One can't be upset about that. So there you have it. If you purchased NIGHTMARE packs directly from Splinterlands awhile back as I did there just might be an airdrop waiting for you if you haven't already claimed it. Reminder how to check: (1) Log in to Splinterlands (2) Hover over the Play Now icon (3) Select SoulKeep (4) Select Claim Drop (5) Follow the onscreen instructions. For a complete breakdown of the rules and how rewards are distributed in the SoulKeep game we suggest you read the whitepaper. It takes no longer than 5 minutes to do so. I had already claimed my Celene

Can't remember how many packs I had eligible for this drop, but I got pretty lucky.
I had under 200 packs for sure.

I didn't get anything - as I heard, without Celene there is no point in playing and I rented out the cards.

I don't have any Soulkeep assets so no drops for me. I haven't kept up on the development of Soulkeep. I think Soulkeep was started by Splinterlands dev team then split off at some point... 🤔

I'm currently playing catch-up with some things but intend on giving Soulkeep a play.
