Venturing to and exploring the Splinterlands official webpage I noticed that Foundation packs are currently trading for 3.5 cents worth of DEC or CREDITS. I can't just sit back and see such a deal and not at least pick up a few. If one were to use DEC to purchase a Foundation pack right now the total DEC cost would be 70* DEC. Using DEC is certainly one way to go but one could also use CREDITS to trade for Foundation packs. Since I have some CREDITS in my wallet that is screaming (spend us) I suppose I will do just that. For those who don't know; CREDITS can be attained using paypal or cryptocurrency. Simply click the CREDIT icon at the top of the Splinterlands official page and you will be brought to the section where CREDITS can be traded for or purchased. 1000 credits is equal to 10 USD. See the image below for details about the CREDIT wallet section.
Lets purchase those packs. I opted to purchase three packs. Not a boatload of packs but for some reason I got this re-occurring theme of opening three packs at a time. The total cost in CREDITS for these packs was just 102 CREDITS. I suppose you know what is coming next. I can't just let these three packs go unopened. I don't know the will power of others but it's near impossible for me to not open a few packs after purchasing some. Since we only purchased three this go around -- all three will be getting flipped. Our luck with pack openings has been a net positive over past many openings. Lets see if we can carry that luck into this opening. HERE WE GO!
An Epic and two rare cards

As they say that is that. The three pack opening can be seen above. We came out swinging with a first pack opening that contained two rare (one an Archon) and an Epic. The remaining two openings were the standard one rare and four common openings. That brings us to a total of four Rare and one Epic cards in three packs. Ladies and Gentlemen, that beats the odds all day- everyday. There are still plenty of Foundation Packs under the four cent mark but I have seen these dip to 3+ cents to spike to around 5 cents again in the past. I don't keep a good enough eye on this market to know if this is a regular occurrence or not so use your own judgement and do your own research. Regardless, its hard to find a better time for just 3+ cents. Since I am in the pack purchasing section you know I have to check the price of CHAOS Packs.
1000 PACKS --- that's it. 1000 Packs away from $0.50 CHAOS Packs (new listings withstanding). Currently CHAOS packs can be purchased for $0.45+ USD cents. 700 packs in and you will be paying $0.469 USD cents. I don't know about you folks but I am excited to see these numbers. I'm not sure how happy the people purchasing them are but at $0.45 USD that is still a great deal. You get a chance at Epics and Gold Cards within a core Splinterlands card set for under 50 cents. I don't see the downside here. I'm almost tempted to open a few CHAOS packs but the brick and mortar world is calling me. Real life is very much the same as Hive life; there never seems to be enough hours in the day to get things done. No financial advice was given in this post.
