Purchasing and leveling Gold Foundation cards

Rentmoney's real life mug may or may not closely resemble this avatar :)

Yesterday I created a post called Getting my butt kicked in Foundation Ranked Play. In it I showcased my win rate of roughly 41%. Getting my butt kicked in ranked play is not something that is appealing to me so I decided to hit the market and start leveling some more Foundation Cards. I was going back and forth on if I wanted to level reg foil or gold foil. The gold foil won that battle. RentMoney now has plans to MAX a Foundation team to be competitive within Foundation Ranked play. Lets take a look at some of my recent purchases. We can easily do that using the PeakMonsters interface. One of the many features on PeakMonsters; some of the others include a richlist, card sales, card rentals, token rentals and much more. You can visit peakmonsters by clicking the following URL: https://peakmonsters.com/ (Reminder: only click links from trusted sources).

Rentmoney is in the Foundation business and business is good. I'll go on another purchasing spree sooner rather than later. I already managed to improve on my win rate. Currently I'm sitting at 44%. That is a 3% improvement in just a few games. Currently we have a total of 45 Victories with 57 losses. Of course we didn't just purchase those Foundation cards we also combined them. We want them maxed. You will notice my first set of purchases (List three) were of regular foil. This is because at the time of those purchases I didn't yet decide I wanted gold. I quickly shifted gears and started purchasing the Gold Foil versions instead. Intermission: for those following along my poker journey. I played a quick tournament today. I busted with AA to a players A7. They min raised preflop. One caller, I re-raised 3X; both call. Flop came K 7 7. I get it all in and go busto. My bankroll currently sits at $3.39 USD (No deposits were made).

Imaged above is one of my ranked battles. As shown in the screenshot the battle lasted 14 rounds. 51 was the MANA cap. For those who might not know; each card has a set amount of MANA. Each battle has a set amount of MANA that is allowed to be used. You can't go over any specific battles MANA cap. You can enter a battle without meeting the MANA cap. I don't want to go into too many details about the above battle because I would rather ask this next question to see if you can guess correctly? Based on your knowledge of the Splinterlands game. Who do you think was the victor? Place your guesses in the comment section below. Feel free to give your breakdown or reasoning for your pick. I'll reply with a link to the battle under all guesses.

When leveling Splinterland cards it's always wise to start with the Archons first. Imaged above is the Incessant Sage. It's the same card I showcased in my previous post that is linked in the first paragraph of this post. The difference being we now have a level 3 Incessant Sage with our level 2 being ready to combine once we get our grubby little hands on another level 2. There's a good chance I simply purchase an additional card and level to MAX but lets play a little ranked first and see if gold strikes. Purchasing and leveling cards is fun but earning them in ranked play brings that same level of fun. Luckily Splinterlands provides us with the opportunity to do both.

Rentmoney likes to create content with the newbie in-mind. This section is for them. For those of you who might be stumbling upon the @rentmoney blog for the first time and have no clue what Splinterlands is we will give a brief definition below. Foundation mode is a free to play mode that you can get to by going to the official Splinterlands webpage > Log In > Hover play and click Ranked out of the drop-down menu > Select Frontier > Click Battle. You will need some cards before you start battling so if you don't have any we suggest you either purchase some from the players market or play campaign (Campaign mode will give you the opportunity to earn Foundation cards).

What Is Splinterlands?

----> As defined by @rentmoney
Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com. With my little battle knowledge in frontier mode and as a newbie in splinterlands, it's team @rentmoney that won, your strategy was strongly influenced by both the summoner and the specific monsters that were selected.

High level summoners also allow using higher level monsters, which means more stats and more abilities; matching summoner level to league format is one of the main win rate.Though this is me guessing 😂.

But I stand to be corrected and an opportunity to learn more about this very battle you displayed.
In addition I am really looking forward to book two.
