Lets see how my purchasing skills stackup

Rentmoney is always on the lookout for the opportunity to increase his Splinterland holdings. Over the past three days or so we managed to purchase ten cards total. Nine of which are of the Chaos card set. One being of the Foundation set. The Foundation card purchase was a gold foil level 3. All the Chaos purchases were level one regular foil. The price ranges for these cards start at $0.021 and exceed to $0.074. So did I get a deal? What is the listed prices of the cards I recently purchased. To figure that out lets head to Splinterlands and go to the card market and look each one up individually and see how my purchasing skills stack up.

Price List

CardListed ValuePurchased For Value
Tusk the Wilde X 4$0.105$0.070
Magi Necrosi$0.115$0.074
Insidious Warlock X 2$0.1150.074
Djinn Inferni$0.130.071
Temporal Master$0.110.067
Mad Gearhead$0.0350.021

Looks like I got some nice deals. Comparing today's listed value vs. my purchase price I got a savings of up to 45% on individual cards. I'll take that deal all day, everyday. Looking at my collection I didn't have a gold foil Mad Gearhead yet. Something that has now been remedied. It takes five level ones to make a max Gold Foil Mad Gearhead. Looks like I'll eventually be in the market for four more. I'll see what my ranked rewards bring me over the next days before hitting the market. The Mad Gearhead card sports a two attack, five health and three speed and comes equiped with the reach ability. The reach ability allows the cards that sport it to attack from the second position. A handy ability indeed.

What Is Splinterlands?

----> As defined by @rentmoney
Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex (powered by Hive-Engine). Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com. Mad Gearhead Lore

Lore taken from the official Splinterlands site
Velza Drennic earned her nickname behind the wheel. A fey goblin with more nerve than sense, she’s a natural fit as a courier for the Gobson Family, an organized crime syndicate run with strict ranks, tight schedules, and zero tolerance for failure. She smuggles contraband through New Gobson’s twisting alleys and the forest roads of the Broken Lands in whatever contraption she just finished building, and she’s reckless enough to test it at full speed and crazy enough to enjoy it.

Velza’s carts are half wood, half metal, and fully unstable. Some are pedal-powered and barely outpace a breeze. Others are packed with black powder and bubbling alchemy, their gearboxes charged to launch them like a steel keg of brimfire tumbling down a mountainside—fast, loud, and always one jolt from detonation.

The Gobson Family doesn't care as long as the goods get delivered. So if you catch a blur of green hurtling toward you, accompanied by shrieks of laughter and the snarl of grinding pistons, don’t stand too close. Velza’s rides don’t always come equipped with brakes.

Other/ Poker Update

Time, there never seems to be enough of it. No progress has been made on the poker forum I intend on creating. Life got busy out of no-where but I'll be back at it soon enough. The same is true for my poker playing progress. I been spending some time in low value freerolls but not playing them to any serious degree. I did try my hand at a 50 cent and 1.00 dollar mtt but didn't have any luck in them. A combination of playing bad and losing 80/20 all ins had me on the rails. It's not all doom as while I was reviewing my play in those two specific tournaments I realized I'm playing too many hands. The sats and freerolls I been playing in are turbo and hyper-turbo events. Play in tournaments with longer blind structure require more patience. I'll have to make that adjustment moving forward. An easy one to make once identified. I have a sat to play on the 25th (three days from this post creation). If I place I'll have a $109 ticket. I'll keep grinding for small sat tickets until then as time allows.
