Currently listed for sale are 375 Foundation packs for under 5 USD Cents each. Some hundreds more at the 5 cent mark or slightly above. If somewhere just north of 1000 Foundation packs sold the price would jump to 6+ cents each. These packs can be traded for using DEC. The cost to do that would be 143.421 DEC per Foundation pack. The last couple times I ventured into the Splinterlands battle-field it was in modern ranked play. Today I decided to venture back into Foundation ranked for a battle or five and was curious as to the going rate of a Foundation Pack. Thus the actions that prompted this post. I always said, anything worth doing on the Hive Blockchain is worth blogging about, so here we are doing just that.
At under 5 USD Cents each I can't just let them sit there. I'm going to have to pick up a handful. Currently I own just 31 Foundation Packs. That just won't do. I could use the DEC I been stashing away for times just like this. However I noticed I have some CREDITS lingering in my account so I will use them instead. What are CREDITS? Good question: CREDITS can be purchased on the Splinterlands site and have a value of 1000 Credits to $1.00 USD. CREDITS can be purchased using Paypal, conveniently located inside your CREDITS wallet. Just click the little + sign next to your credit balance on the official Splinterlands site to be brought to the right section. Yes, it really is that easy to get 5 cent Foundation packs (Today's date: 2026-08-09).

That is all it cost. 576 CREDITS for 12 Foundation packs. These 12 packs cost $0.048 USD Cents each. The next batch for sale cost just $0.049 USD Cents each. Now that we got them lets head to the MANA Well and open up some of these bad boys. To do so head to the main Splinterlands page and click the OPEN icon at the top of the page. After doing so you will be met with two options (1) Mana Well (2) Claim Center. Click the option that says Mana Well --> BOOM you are in the right section. Click and drag any pack(s) you want to open to the mana well and release. Upon doing so you will be met with some animations and an open pack. Now that we are in the right section its time to open some of these newly purchased packs.
Standard one rare and four common card pack

Another standard pack, one rare and four common cards

Three rare with one being an Archon

The first two packs we opened end up being the standard flip (one rare and four common cards). The third pack we beat the odds and flipped over three rare cards and two common cards. One of those card was an Archon. Overall this three pack open has been a net positive. We added 15 additional cards to our collection for less than 15 USD cents. If that isn't a good deal than I don't know what is. The most valuable card we flipped would be the card known as Thalgrimore. Its an Archon of the Death splinter. It comes with the ability to dual out minus one health to all foes before the battle even starts. The cost to play this card in battle is six MANA. For those who might not know each battle has a designated no cost MANA cap. See you on the battle-field.

Taken from the official Splinterlands site
Demons are fiends of terrible aspect, marked by grotesque features that betray their infernal origins: horns, claws, fangs, or flesh corrupted by unnatural power, whether chitinous, flame-wreathed, or stretched and rotting over inhuman frames. Some are hulking brutes, others twisted parodies of mortals. Though they may appear ancient or youthful, demons do not age. They are immortal unless slain and exist outside any known natural life cycle. When they gather, it is in cruel hierarchies. When they act, it is to destroy, corrupt, or dominate.
The Belurocian Empire is home to more demons than any other splinter in Praetoria. Founded on conquest and governed through fear, it is ruled by the lord of darkness from the capital of New Beluroc. Governance falls to the Cimmerian Order, a centralized authority charged with executing the throne’s will through hierarchy and merciless discipline.
Thalgrimore serves as a grandfather of the Cimmerian Order, a personal emissary of the lord of darkness and a conduit for his master’s intent. He is sent to observe, deliver instruction, or simply be seen. When he arrives, voices lower and plans unravel. Hesitation follows. And then, clarity. But not the kind you choose for yourself.
To see him is to be reminded that in the Belurocian Empire, loyalty isn’t a choice. It’s the air you breathe. Until it’s not.

Wow great pick up for next to nothing 👍 I gave up the grind on Foundation cards but they are still out there if you battle for them.
