Finishing a promo: let's see what I won

I been spending some time grinding the micro Spin n Gold better known as Spin n Go's to some. A three player fast moving poker game. Currently there is a promo running to hit five payout structures. Those five structures being: (1) 2X Payout (2) 3X Payout (3) 4X payout (4) 5X payout (5) 10X payout. The 2X payout is standard game results so that was easy to hit. The 3X wasn't all that difficult to hit either. I got lucky early on and hit the 5X payout which prompted me to grind the last two days to see if I can complete the promotional offer. I managed to hit two 10X payouts before hitting the 4X payout. These things always hit at unexpected times. I hit the play button and go on reading as I wait for the prize wheel to spin and BOOM a pop up letting me know I finished the promo. In short -- the poker site I'm currently playing on ran this promo. Clear all five points and earn a cash prize. The payouts (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 10X) are based on buy in amount. I was playing with a buy in of just 0.25 cents. Meaning the two 10X games I hit had a total prize pool of $2.50. Small stakes but there are multiple buy in options. Anyways, I'm about to check to see what I won. As I type this I have no idea what the prize amount might be ---> Lets take a look - Here We Go!

$0.25, that was the prize. Hardly worth making a post for but I started the post before the prize was shown so it's onward and forward with it. On the plus side I did get to see some cool graphics. Those picks you see had to dig into those rocks to open my prize. My current poker balance sits at $37.89 USD. Before the promo run I started with $36.39 so I did manage to profit $1.50 on this venture. As I type this the thought comes to mind that this might be an ongoing promotion. I venture back to the tables to see. Just as I thought the promo reset. Meaning I can continue the grind and redo the promo offer. I won't be doing that. I will however play a game here n there as I was doing before I took on this grind. If the great random poker generator so decides to hand me a 10X during those games I might reconsider. After looking further into the promotion the MAX prize that could be won is $10,000. A nice amount indeed but an amount that was very far from the $0.25 I managed to snag. I did see a $10,000 popup as I was playing which makes me wonder if another player hit it minutes before I did. In truth I hope they did - if so a big congrats to them. The promotion itself runs from June 12th to July 12th, 2026. I did venture into a satellite tournament yesterday but was swiftly KO'd from it. Other than that one off tournament I been mainly sticking to these Spin n Gold rake trap games. The only exception being 18 man turbo mystery bounty tournaments which are also set up to be a fast pace game (rake traps).

Other Stuff: I haven't been playing much Splinterlands but I do plan on taking a look at my collection over the next few days. Some weeks back I put some cards on the market. A few sold here n there but I don't think the needle moved much. My collection is OG cards and they don't sell all that often. Well - if one wanted to price them well below market value I'm sure they sell like hotcakes but I'm not interested in doing so. With the price of the Hive Token where its at - I'd imagine this a good time as any to accumulate some Hive either with Fiat or swapping around already attained assets. CHAOS packs are selling for somewhere around $0.25 cents or about 5 Hive Tokens each. I do wonder what would it take for these packs to push closer to $1.00. If Splinterlands regains any of it's past peak interests from the outside world I would have to imagine that the CHAOS set will see a rise in interest. At $0.25 each that means one can purchase and open 10 Packs and have 50 cards from a core set for just $2.50. I don't know about you but to me that sounds like one heck of a deal. CHAOS packs can be traded for on secondary markets such as TribalDex (powered by Hive-Engine). I haven't checked today's price but as noted it's been floating around $0.25 or a cent or two above.
