CHAOS Hits 7 Hive each on TribalDex

As those who follow the @rentmoney blog know we like to keep an eye on the CHAOS Legion Pack market. Today after venturing to TribalDex we seen that there was some movement for CHAOS Tokens. 259 total packs have sold today on TribalDex alone. The bulk of those, 197 to be exact, for the trade value of 7 Hive Tokens each. This doesn't surprise me any as CHAOS is very undervalued in terms of USD. What does interest me is the HIVE Token is currently trading at 0.044500 on the internal HIVE:HBD market. Which is on the higher end of its monthly and bi-weekly average. So what is so interesting about that? Not the upward trajectory of the HIVE Token itself but the fact that CHAOS went up in value while the HIVE Token has done the same. Put another way: The CHAOS Token (Pack) has not slipped in HIVE or USD value during HIVE's recent sustained pump.
Usually when Hive pumps, tokens on TribalDex, including CHAOS, can be purchased for less than what their HIVE worth was before the pump started. This shows a strong single that CHAOS still has lots of life in it yet. Keeping as close an eye on the CHAOS market that I do; I don't think it would take much for CHAOS to reach 40 USD Cents per pack. There is a distinct group that like to trade the token from one market to the next and they usually fight over position but that position seems to be slowly yet steadily moving in the upwards direction. I have a small amount of CHAOS on TribalDex. I just listed 24 of them for 8.5 Hive Tokens each. At current trade value that equals to $0.3714449 USD per CHAOS Pack. I'd much rather the pack than $0.3714449 USD. The appealing side is the 8.5 Hive Tokens gained per pack (if they were to sell). However mostly I am just edging the packs closer to the 40 cent mark to see if any sell. I'll happily keep them if not. Just like I'll happily collect 8.5 Hive Tokens per pack if they were to sell. Lets see what happens.

The screenshot above is of the HIVE:HBD internal market. One can get to that market by going to their Hive Blockchain wallet section and hitting the little icon next to your liquid HIVE. A drop-down menu will appear and inside that drop-down menu will be multiple options. Click the one that says MARKET. After doing so you will be brought to the HIVE:HBD market. Here is a direct link: https://wallet.hive.blog/market. The 24hr trade volume of the internal market has reached well over the $12,000 mark. A decent amount but an amount that does sometimes gets crushed by much bigger 24hr trade volumes during larger sustained spikes and dips. Below you will see a screenshot taken from CoinMarketCap. It display's the USD trade value of one HIVE Token as $0.04382. This is slightly lower than the internal market trade value. The reason for that is HBD (Hive Back Dollars) is designed to have a 1:1 peg with the USD but is slightly below that peg. Thus the HIVE Token is costing slightly more in HBD than it does in USD. For me this deviation is acceptable and expected. Overall I like to give props to the mechanics of HBD and how well it manages to stay 1:1 or very close to 1:1 to the USD. HBD has felt some pressure leading up to the recent spike in markets. The recent pump of the HIVE Token is likely just as welcomed by HBD holders as it is Hive Token holders.
