I have trying to play in the different formats of Splinterlands. The cards that I currently own are best suited for wild format game play. I tried out there and seems like I would probably need more and more experience to be in that league. As make no mistake this is where all the pro players are making their nest and doing everything possible to beat the crap out of norms. While the best aspect of being in this format, is you can easily explore the tac tics of your opponent players and if you get to learn those tips and tricks you can easily utilize them in your own game play. But to be honest most of these players have loads of cards at their disposal and it is quite difficult to be able to use something which you sincerely do not have in your account.
The SURVIVIAL MODE
gameplay is finally on and ready to explore by players. Here, players can explore and see for themselves what they are capable of in the battle field. Although, there are ,multiple things which needs to be taken into consideration before diving into survival mode.
Those are some pretty big risks if you are willing to play in the survival mode. While you must be wondering how long is the cooldown period. Well they are actually not that much time but not small either. The more rarity a card falls into the less time it requires to cooldown, while the more common a card is the more time it will require to cool off.
This is what I talking about. The image above shall display what it means by cooldown period. For example, this was one of those cards which died during one of the battles. So in regard to that I will not be able to use this card for the next 3 days in any modes of Splinterlands. Which is no Modern, Wild, Survival, Brawl, Tournament or even in lands. After the cooling down period is over than and only than my card will eventually unlock for it be used in the next battles. That is a steep price to pay for being dead in the battle field.
Furthermore, in the images below you can notice how many cards of mine have undergone the the survival mode cooldown. I would definitely stay away from this mode if you want to play with your cards in any other modes in any of the given season.
That being said, you can always select how many cards and their levels would be available for you to play in survival mode. You can select these settings from the collection of cards page. When it comes to reward distribution in the match this is what's stated by the team is given below :
"Survival mode will have an SPS reward pool of the same size, and that works in exactly the same way as the reward pools for Modern and Wild formats. That means that players will win SPS from the reward pool for each win in Survival mode based on the reward shares they earned in that battle as compared to the total number of reward shares earned from all Survival mode battles over the past 15 days. The same calculations and modifiers/bonuses will apply to reward shares for Survival mode battles as for Modern and Wild battles."

As of writing this post, the stats above are mine. I have played couple of matches yesterday and today. Upon digging further into Survival mode, I was struck with some attractive yet deadly updates. Well, to be honest these sort of tactics makes the game even more worth while. Because, the thrill of loosing a card in cooldown in the battle field will literally make you go crazy. Which is why, you need to be extra vigilant, be prepared for what is to come and get ready what throws you in the battle field. I suppose this mode will be played by those folks who likes the thrill of winning under extreme conditions and under extreme pressure. I suppose this mode alone will make a gamer think otherwise about the game.
Which is why it is essential for you to decide, if you want to play in Survival mode or not. As lost of precautions are needed to taken and quite a lot of efforts are to be made in order to maintain the winning streak and strategies. Even though the rewards are the same but yet the battle field in Survival mode is a lot tougher than usual.
