Splinterland's : Entry Barrier to the game is currently lowest.

Splinterland's is now well-established Trading card game in the web3 arena that is now almost going to be 8 year olds in a couple of months. Splinterland's though attracted many players but still there are many players that complain of the entry barrier in the game. Now when I talk about the entry barrier, I clearly think of the 3 entry barrier that are as follows:
a.) Onboarding Entry Barrier.
b.) Economic Entry Barrier
c.) Game complexity Entry barrier.

Today, we will discuss whether these entry barriers are really high enough to keep any new players from trying this game at all.

a.) Onboarding Entry Barrier.

Though Hive is not an obscure blockchain but it is also not one of the "talked" blockchain in the web2 media. With account opening requires so many keys to be noted and kept, it is overwhelming for the users whao are actually used to having "web" wallets. In recent times there is actually ease of account opening in the Hive I see Splinterland's team also allowed number of methods to play the game that includes "email/password" combination also, I feel onboarding to game is not as difficult as it used to be in very initial days when you need a Hive account.
I also feel upcoming Atomic hub and Electronemum partnerships will might spread more awareness about the game and who nows if onboarding become more smooth and efficient.

b.) Economic Entry Barrier

Players complain that even after purchasing spellbook there account is almost useless as they do not have adequate cards to play and cards are very expensive to buy. Now if someone see the above screenshot, it is evident that Foundation cards are very cheap to buy. Also one can earn these cards too for playing the Frontier league. With Frontier cards, I feel economic entry barrier to game is significantly lowered.

c.) Game complexity Entry barrier.

Game has been in development and enhancement for so many years that what look normal and easy to veteran players , become overwhelming for the new user. But if someone is new player, and really learn to how to play game then someone can use foundation card and play in the Frontier league. Since foundation card max level is capped to the half of the maximum level, also the number of cards also get limited when you play in the frontier league, I feel it is the most easiet and practical learning for "How to play" Splinterland's. Also Splinterland's has created good tutorial documents and keep dropping bit size hints in the game for playing good, then this is also make game more easier to grasp and make game playing more fun even in the initial days of the gameplay.

So, what your thought on trying Splinterland's if you have not still tried playing Splinterland's
