Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I made my last Splinterlands post, I've been away on a small holiday for a week and I didn't want to spend too much time on a computer when I could enjoy the nice German area we were staying in and the company of my family so I only grinded my ranked battles and guild brawls early in the morning and that was it.
While grinding my ranked battles this morning I met that notorious player again with multiple accounts, so it was time to stop playing, I can't wait for the brackets to get live and I'm freed of this bully... 😅
I was actually going to edit for my other hobby, making my next cycling video but on holiday I stored my camera video's on my old external HDD so it's now copying 230Gb of data to my SSD at 42MB/s so that's going to take a while, great time to make another splinterlands post!

In this battle I met a player I've been seeing for many years and now has the same level deck as me, sometimes they win and sometimes I win so we are pretty evenly matched I would say, without magic some cards that I rarely use suddenly become great cards, like the 4 mana Taunt with Shield Gallicus, it has a nice synergy with my Caravan Guard for lower mana battles and ranged battles where I can nerf the enemy damage output a lot with the use of stacked Headwinds.
With only three splinters available the options were limited, and although I like to use a unit with the Shield ability in the rear with Super Sneak, my options were limited because I wanted to play the Elias / Leolin combo, it hits like a truck and when you tuck in away safely in the middle of your team, as long as the other team doesn't have a unit with the new Reprisal ability it's quite safe from attacks and with the True Strike ability it will land EVERY attack, and it attacks twice every round!
I guess my opponent made a small mistake by not putting the Ulund with the Shield ability all the way to the rear so thanks for that! 🙂
Without a lot of offensive power, the enemy team wasn't able to get through my Shield/Taunt/Triage defensive combo, while my offensive combo wreaked havoc on the other team and this was the result at only the end of round 2.

By the end of round 3 the battle was over without any losses on my team and a really nice reward, this season is going a little too well and yet again I've pushed in to Diamond 3 so next season I won't be on the leader board which kinda sucks, I like that leader board reward. 😅

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
