Hey everyone and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog! Making blogs for my favorite game has never been so profitable, and my post from last weeks received very big upvotes, so, thanks a lot @splinterlands team and all other people voting! After so long, things are finally gearing up and it's perfect timing too as I need more funds to prepare for the new modern league I wrote about last week.

So, this weeks Social Media Challenge is the same as last weeks:

And I have so many things that are going on at the same time, some are too brief to make a separate post about but definitely worth mentioning, it looks like I'm certainly not the only player watching the market and try to prepare for the new modern league in the cheapest way, hunting bargains!

So, as I talked about before, I'm preparing to play in Silver league once the new set Conclave Arcana goes live, and certain cards like Underboss Fabino quadrupled in price, amazing!
Well, it's a little too soon for my liking because I need more cards to get it to Silver level! 😅

Something else worth mentioning is that since last Tuesday, when the latest update went live for some reason a lot of max level decks are active in low Modern Gold League, wrecking my gold account 😅

How is your season going so far?

My Gold account has a 47.41% win rate so far, my main account is at 47.22% so it's pretty consistent but I like it to be a bit higher honestly! 😅 Less wins means less SPS and also less glint, with only three days left in the season I'm getting close reaching the 100k threshold but last season I already passed it at this point, I think this season is harder than the previous season, only reason I can think of why all these max level accounts are in low gold is that it's accounts that's been inactive and start being active again, someone playing with a max level deck should at least be able to make it to Gold 1 I think.
When I'm right this is a very good sign, but of course this is only speculating.

Every maintenance window brings new goodies!

While maintenance is exactly in my time of the day I can play, it's still a celebration because lately the team has been busy delivering so many cool new things, and while not all updates are for the smaller players, they're still really important to keep everyone engaged!

For example, the new Voucher Promo card is definitely not for me, 1500 vouchers for 1 BCX is way too much for me, I hold 160 vouchers at the moment! 😆
For new people reading: you can earn vouchers by staking SPS and you can use it for cool in game things like buying certain cards, I bought the last card the Mana Warden, it's a very cool card!

The lore for the latest voucher card is really cool, Ulfga the Blighted became infected with the plague caused by Dr. Blight, making her look like she does now.

Winterfest

Cool new Christmas themed skins has been added to some cards, I'm not sure if I found all of them making this image though! We had different skins at Halloween, pretty cool small extra's!

Tool tips have been added

This is great for new players, the game is very cool but let's be honest, it's not the easiest to learn! From now on, everyone received these small tips everywhere while playing, giving small but very useful pointers.

Another tip: You can disable (or re-enable) these tips in the settings - notifications tab, for example when you changed your mind and you actually DO want to see them, or you want to see them more than once.

Ambassador Program Revamp

Finally, the old affiliate program has been revamped, deleting all old affiliates we had.

• Referrals Reset: All previous referrals have been cleared.
• Earnings: Earn 5% of your referrals' end-of-season Glint, capped at 100% of your own Glint for the season.
• Spellbook Bonus: Both you and your referral will earn 500 Credits when they purchase a Spellbook.
• Gold Tier Ambassador: Refer 10 users who spend $100 each to become Gold Tier.
• Earn 5% on referral pack purchases from the shop and 1% on secondary market purchases after reaching Gold Tier.
• TOS Update: Referring yourself with alternate accounts is now prohibited.
• Check out the support FAQ for the Ambassador Revamp.

This is a pretty awesome update, we are now able to receive glint from referrals!

This is NOT everything, in the background there have been more Tech Modernization updates and fixes, improving our gameplay experience.

Hall Of Legends Finale Preload

Two new cards have been announced for the Hall of Legends finale:

Fizbo the Fabulous is a Legendary Fire / Earth monster with the cool new ability Shroud of Reflectionshield so this probably is a card to somewhat tame the mighty Eternal Tofu. This new ability gives Reflection Shield to adjacent units.

Warborn Shaman is the second card, a Rare Water / Death unit that starts with only Void Armor but at the max level it has a big arsenal of strong abilities like Poison and Self Heal.

Both cards are pretty interesting, even for smaller players like myself, a tank healer is always nice and the Shaman is a nice card for the magic only battles.
