Hey everyone, with the lack of any Splinterlands Challenges this week, I had some extra time to play around with alt accounts, my daily account is a Silver level modern account but from time to time I tend to hit a wall and only face big accounts that overpower me, at times like these I usually switch to Frontier mode but this time I spent some time on an alt account where I dumped unused low level cards to, to help my guild fill a fray in brawls.

My daily account primarily uses Rebellion archons but this alt also has some Conclave archons, giving a new experience and even better insights on what they can do, and I was so surprised at how many cards I could choose on the Shapeshift ruleset!

Playing in bronze is so much different than Gold and although the rewards are so much less, it's just fun - proving Splinterlands is fun at every level, even for experienced players.

In low bronze you can clearly see players from Frontier are testing out the modern mode with their Frontier deck, and especially the water magic team is pretty competitive there, but good to counter when played too much with Kaylia and Fithe!
So far, my battles has been pretty easy but now I've entered Bronze 1, I will face more experienced and better equipped players. I will at least try to do 100 battles so I can get on the leaderboard. đ
We have recently had a new member joining our guild, it's @ekavieka! Maybe one day we can battle each other just for the fun of it, I think it's fun to guide new players - help them where I can with card and SPS delegations and some advice where needed, it's awesome to see them grow over time!

With the help of ekavieka we can hopefully fill one extra fray to make our guild more competitive, we're already doing pretty well with an #2 average brawl rank but we still have Regular Foil Modern Bronze fray open as well as a Gold Foil Modern Bronze fray, so - when you're a new Splinterlands player reading this OR someone with an unused alt account but you have some extra cards, come and help us out and grow stronger together!

I had a fun battle yesterday against @aziz00069 - In the previous battles I could see this player had higher level cards than me and they liked to use Kaylia a lot, in a lot of battles Mahkah Hemlig was there, a glass cannon magic opportunity attacker with a pretty high speed.
I like to counter play my opponents, analyzing their previously played teams and estimate what their team against me will be combined with the current rule set, this is much easier in Bronze than in Gold where raw power of the more expensive cards is more present.
So, that high damage magic guy had to be mitigated, either by distracting it's fire by using taunt or to quickly kill it by using opportunity myself. In the end I decided to go with both, Thanalorian Blade receives the execute ability from Kaylia's elf bloodline bonus which is a lot of fun to use, but this was not before the Hemlig was able to fire first because it's faster. It could only fire once though before it was quickly silenced by Thanalorian Blade.

It then was a 2 vs. 4 where my team, although lower level was doing more damage per turn and I also had more HP in total.
I couldn't attack the sniper in 2nd position because it has the camouflage ability but once Lord Thanalor was killed, it reached first position unable to attack - another win for me!
Modest rewards but this was just to have fun, I think the most important factor for every game.

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
