Heloise the Hollow is crippled in Silver League?

I hope your battles are going well, fellow warriors in Praetoria! Yesterday I was grinding my daily modern battles in the Silver League bracket when I first had a fight against a much higher ranked opponent - 3500 vs. 3900 rating, the account was scholared and not run by a liquidity bot so usually that means pretty great players.

Analyzing the previous played teams, I expected to play against Lorkus so I made a team with stacked Silence to counter the magic play and was surprised to see a really overpowered and EXPENSIVE card in this low league, Heloise the Hollow.

She's not even for sale on the market at the moment and from what I know about her, she can only be bought as a max copy so it's kind of a waste to use her in a low bracket where the levels are capped, seeing her and not realizing she's not on full strength, I clicked on SKIP BATTLE thinking this was a loss to then be surprised and rewatched the fight to find out Heloise is actually a REALLY BAD card in Silver League plus I played a really good counter against her - Barashkukor with the Fury ability, dealing double damage against units with Taunt.

So, for players who never battled her at full strength when we would still face off against max player decks with our tiny decks in the old battle system, she uses Soul Siphon combined with Spite to resurrect every time she's killed and strikes back at her killer with her 8 melee damage - in most cases killing the unit.

In Silver League however, she does have the Spite ability but in my battle, her melee attack struck Barashkukor's armor so he survived the attack, of course this is all talk so I'll show you the battle. 🙂

I like to counter my opponent so expecting Lorkus, who's teams are usually magic heavy I used three units with the Silence ability and a tank with the Shield ability, because of this my offensive power wasn't very strong but it still worked.

Because my opponent used two units with Taunt, bringing Barashkukor to the fight was a very good decision!

Barashkukor didn't survive until the end but at that point it had already served it's purpose, fighting Lorkus is always annoying because it stops healing with Affliction.

So this fight was a nice win but it didn't stop there...

Half an hour later, I met another account but looking at the similar name and the same scholar account, this one also used Heloise, it's really not that good in Silver mate! 😅

In this battle my opponent, again used two units with the Taunt ability, not expecting Lorkus and with only the Death splinter available, I knew an enemy Barashkukor was highly probable so I didn't use a unit with Taunt myself.

My healing wasn't countered this time so my front line didn't fail, with again a clear win against a much higher ranked opponent.

I ended this really good run yesterday at 3660 rating but then I started with a losing streak this morning, bringing me all the way down to 3400 because all I was facing were liquidity bots using Nidhogr, Mancer and Lorkus teams... 😏
