Hey Splinterheads, although the blogging rewards are terrible I just keep making Splinterlands content no matter what 😆 I was just grinding my Modern Ranked battles with a coffee in the early morning, for me this is the perfect start of the day and I was on fire, I like seeing so much green!

That last battle however, was against a certain player with a lot of different accounts haunting Gold League because he's not skilled enough to play in the higher leagues - all max level mostly Dragon decks and my chances on winning are slim with my Silver level deck so let's do something else until he's hopefully gone 😇 and let not push my luck, that win against him was only because Dragons were not available in that battle...

There are three more days in this season and somehow it feels easier than last seasons, I'm not sure why because I only made small improvements to my deck when I sold a Legendary Gold Foil I pulled for $20.

Now I'm ranked 13 and afraid to play more because I will definitely won't be able to keep this going for three more days but I also don't want to lose out on three days of earning Glint and SPS because the rewards in Gold 1 are really sweet for me. 😅

With the 'Brackets in Modern' proposal passed, which I think is a great thing, the game will definitely change a lot for everyone playing in Modern. No more matching up against higher level decks, which is great - I'm having that a lot obviously in the top of Gold with a Silver deck. The downside with this is that these sweet 5 - 7 SPS rewards for a win will also be much lower.

The new Silver bracket doesn't have a minimum level of cards you can use, but the Gold Bracket has, the minimum level for epics and legendary cards is level 2, and I have a lot of cards only at level 1.

So.. I was thinking, what would it cost me to level them up and I'll just fight in the Gold Bracket?
But damn these legendary cards are expensive, the ones I consider need to have - and there's a lot of them are 11 cards and also 4 epics I need to level up, which will cost me around $150 😣

Many of these cards are Rebellion and don't have a lot of time left in Modern so for now I think I will just play in Silver, at least until the next rotation and accept I will earn less. I'm just glad all this time I earned a nice stack of SPS to work towards my 250k goal.

Grayhammer Painsmith

Three new Voucher Exclusive Promo cards have been released, of which I could only buy a level 2 common Grayhammer Painsmith, and a level 1 rare Conjurers Hubris. The legendary card is way too expensive for me as a smaller player.

Looking at the stats, it's not really usable at level 1, with 2 ranged damage for 8 mana there are almost always better options but at level 2, that Painforge can be really nice is certain situations. It's not until the much higher levels where this card starts to shine, but I fought a battle where I made it shine only at level 2!

Like in many fights, I was the underdog against a max level player with a beautiful Black Foil Arcane card even, currently on the market for $128!
This battle had quite a volatile ruleset combination of Close Range, Global Warming and Equalizer. On Equalizer battles I always try to use one of my Corrupted Healing monsters of which I have the Death Arachne Weaver and the Fire Inept Healer, Fire wasn't available so the choice was easy.
Because of the Burning however, I included the Dragons so I could use Zyrx who already has burning which is usually a drawback for using this awesome card but now everyone has burning.

The Burning AND Equalizer combination made using my new Painsmith ideal, and I figured I could keep it alive with the Corrupted Healing, I knew the Painforge wouldn't get reset so the damage potential could be really nice.

At the end of round 1, the Scattershot Poison hit my Painsmith so it would get Painforge twice every round - well thank you! 😄

By round 4, Painsmith's attack power has already got up to 7. Unfortunately the enemy damage was too high so my tank died but Zyrx is a great backup tank. Olivia stole Poison Burst, so that's nasty...

Painsmith swiftly dealt with Olivia so she can't get more abilities and grow even stronger, that card can really get out of control and I would have definitely put her more to the back.

With the last enemy alive being an archer, although this time it is able to fire from the first position due to the Close Range ruleset it's completely outmatched so it was a pretty easy win.

Painsmith's damage is up to TEN!

It was a sweet victory with a nice reward,this battle happened yesterday when I had just entered Gold 1.
