It’s that exciting time again where we dive into one of the biggest updates Splinterlands has released this year, and this time it’s a game-changer for personalization and immersion in Praetoria that has been talked about for quite some time and we can now enjoy and display.

I am writing this post to take part in this weeks Community Engagement Challenge the Splinterlands team makes every week to create exposure and a way for players to earn some extra funds to put in to their Splinterlands or Hive account the way they think it's best.

Avatars & Exemplars, Your Identity Comes to Life!

The new Avatars & Exemplars system is live, so let's take a look together on this cool new feature and because I have more than one account, I could create multiple cool avatars! 😁

Splinterlands is introducing fully customizable Avatars, not just profile pictures, but your personal character inside the Splinterlands universe, you can now create an avatar that truly represents you, with choices in fantasy races like Humans, Elves, Orcs, and Dwarves and more to come later.

Hair, facial features, clothing, accessories, backgrounds, frames, and badges to show off your accomplishments for this season, what year you joined the game and more.
Players can also buy seasonal and event cosmetics (like the Winterfest outfits) for Glint they can earn by playing, how cool is that!?

Your Avatar isn’t limited to just a little circular image anymore, it’s a whole character identity that shows up throughout the game: on your profile, battle screens, leaderboards and guild pages.

Exemplars

But Splinterlands didn’t stop at avatars. The really magical part, especially for those of us who dream of playing as our own character is the Exemplar system.

Exemplars let you:

• Turn your custom Avatar into a real Splinterlands card
• Choose your Element and stats
• Build abilities and progression paths that reflect your play style
• Level up your card using Glint
• Show off epic frames and rarity prestige as your Exemplar grows in power and legend

This isn’t just another cosmetic, it’s your identity turned into a strategic asset! And for the first time in a TCG like this, you’re not just commanding cards, you are one!

Right now, Exemplars won’t be playable in Ranked battles, but they will be enabled in challenges, custom tournaments and guild brawls.

Creating my own avatars

This has been fun, since I am playing the account @nozem myself in Modern League myself I wanted to stay close to a human figure, with some grey hair and a scar - while in real life it's not a heroic battle scar I think it represents me as myself with an incognito mask representing the anonymity in crypto but now in the game I am playing for over four years, it's so cool!

@nozem01 is my max level account, raw power so it's a tough looking Orc of course and @ne9en which I created for my sport activities became a Splinterlands player as well after the last Modern Rotation, it's a sly and strategic Elf, not just a random image for all of them!

I have not put much effort in to the Exemplar function just yet but with good reason, it requires Glint and I still need it to level up my deck at every season end, everything in Splinterlands is choice based since there is so much going on and so many things we want but we just can't have it all and surely not at once!
