Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Custom Challenge

Source

Hi friends and welcome to my game blog once again. Last week, I wrote my very first splinterlands social media challenge after my friends had been pushing me for months to give splinterlands a try. I’m glad I did and because of that I am here to share more.

This is my first entry to the splinterlands community challenge where the task is to write a support article about custom challenges. As a very new user to the game, I did not know what this was till I asked my friends and they shared their knowledge.

The custom challenge is a feature in the splinterlands game where players can invite other players directly to battle and pay some Dec or credits to customize the said challenged battle.

To get this feature is fairly easy. Just locate challenge on the play tab of splinterlands or the homepage of the game. It is at the top right corner just below where your username is written. Click on it to open a pop up menu with instructions on how to customize your battle.

I really liked that it was written at the top, “challenges are not ranked and are subject to selected match condition”. As someone still finding my feet in the game, I would not want to lose some ranking in a challenge match I would probably lose because all my friends are experts.

To set this up was straightforward but my friends still guided me through. I entered an opponent’s name, selected all cards and chose the novice summoner level cap.

To customize the battle, I clicked on more options which gave me the chance to choose the elements, select a ruleset and add a mana cap. However, I did not pay the 10 Dec to proceed.

I realized that I could still challenge without making the payment but I wouldn’t have the chance to select mana level, select elements and select a ruleset.

This is a summary of what my friends explained to me about the custom challenge and I hope this is of help to those who are not aware of this.
