Hello
Splinterlands Lovers !!
Today, friends, I am going to share a battle with you. I will discuss a specific card, explain which card to choose based on the active ruleset, and show you how we can win the battle. The rule governing today's battle is called "Dragon Breath."
Dragon Breath:
Under this rule, any monster struck by a direct Magic or Ranged attack is afflicted with the "Burning" effect. The key thing to remember here is that the moment a Magic or Ranged attack lands, the Burning effect kicks in. Once this effect is active, the affected monster loses 2 Health points every round—which is detrimental to us. However, there is a way to counter this: we need to select a card with the "Cleanse" ability to negate the effect. Essentially, if the Burning effect is applied to the first monster on our team, the Cleanse ability will remove it. Let me explain this to you in detail.

You can check the battle link or watch the video as I explain this. According to the rules here, a "burning effect" is applied whenever a magic or ranged attack hits. You can see this happening in the video, but as soon as I selected the "River Nymph" card, I gained an ability called "Cleanse." This ability removes any magic-based debuffs; so, even though the rules dictate a loss of 2 health every round, my card remains protected. In the video, you can see that our health is being preserved each round, which increases our chances of winning the battle. The rules specify which abilities can counter these conditions, so I chose a card that would be effective and help me secure the win. Additionally, the enemy is taking extra damage—specifically the "Zapped" effect—which we are avoiding; this occurs because the enemy is affected by the "Electrified" ability. All of this has boosted our chances of victory. I’ve learned a great deal from today's battle rules and the specific card I chose to use.
Conclusion

The key card I’m focusing on today—the one that helped me win the battle—is the River Nymph. I own the Gold version of this card; it deals magic damage, and I specifically chose it for its 'Cleanse' ability, which allows me to remove negative magic effects from my team's cards and protect them from damage. It is a 4-mana card belonging to the Water Splinter. At Level 6, the card becomes very powerful, gaining 2 magic attack power and acquiring a new ability. As you level it up, it transforms into a monster capable of delivering impressive results despite its low mana cost. I hope you enjoyed today's battle.
